Good morning,
I wanted to write a short post explaining a bit of what is going on behind the scenes of the summer campaign, to give you an idea of what we are trying to accomplish here.
Let’s start off by letting you know of our timeline. We have been trying to get some initial information out, especially about each of the legacies so that those people that are interested in playing a native can get started in on costuming and backgrounds.
Early this week we will be posting some more out of game info on each legacy to give you an idea as to the theme of each one and what playstyles might work best with which legacy. We are trying to give out as much information as we can to help and encourage players to choose to portray a native without spoiling the story we wish to tell, especially for the non-natives, who we really want to surprise in-game.
Later this week we will have a form up asking players to let us know if they plan on playing a native or a non-native. The reasons for this are two fold. First, it will put people in the lottery that we will be doing on April 29th for non-natives. More importantly for those that are interested in playing a native, we are setting up private facebook groups with the members of those legacies and our plot team so we can help establish an internal culture for each legacy and to give you some ownership over your own groups. We will be releasing more private legacy information within these facebook groups, as well as giving the full overview of the Lost March (there’s still a lot we haven’t spilled). You don’t need to decide right away what you want to play, but those players that do choose earlier will probably have a larger opportunity to help shape their own culture and their own role within their group.
While the June and July events might seem pretty far away, we have some cool ideas to tie the campaign into the current campaign and the more we can know about what our players wish to do ahead of time, that gives us more time to work on some of these plans.
As always if you have questions or comments for the plot team, feel free to e-mail lostmarchplot@alliancedenver.com.
Thank you!
