The following players are in the running for a free LCO magic item. The winner will be randomly drawn tonight and a "winner tag" will be placed in that players pre-registration envelope. The winner should seek out Michelle (HQ GM) and let her know if you'd like to roll on the "times ever" list or the "one year" list. you will then roll a 10 sided die to randomly select the LCO Magic Item you will receive immediately. You may then return to logistics to recieve your tags for that item for this event.

I don't see why not. This was set up as a reward for assisting Logistics and is, as you said, OOG. We only added the "get the MI item right away and use it that event!" aspect of it to add to the excitement of winning. I'm sure Michelle could hold the tag if you are the winner and request it.

Since the Magic Item will be generated on-site you'd have to receive a temp tag anyway which would need to later be converted into our standard Yellow Tag by Michelle.
 
It is an OOG mechanic and reward (much like an NPC item) so yes you can use it for whatever character you want. If you want to use it for a character OTHER than the one you chose to play this weekend you can still get your item, stick it in your bag and use it some other time.

For new players that may not realize this, once you "assign" your item to a character, it's as if that character found it in-game. You can't shuffle items between your characters, even if they were earned for OOG work.

We do however recognize that some people only have one character for various reasons, and didn't want these players to be stuck with an item they can't use if it happened to be a celestial one.

And to answer another question that I'm sure is bouncing around, no, you can't see the list before you pick your catergory. :)

We created the option of times ever vs one-year with the occasional players in mind. Since times-evers don't expire, they'll have the opportunity to get more use out of it than a one-year. Of course any player can choose from whichever list they want.
