Military Deployment/Active full time

I am bringing my Good Long time friend Ian, He was in the military for just under 4 years. He was Active Duty/service full time, with the 1st infantry division in Iraq.

What is the ruling on back monthly blankets/events? I have heard he he can blanket monthly while in service but he has to supply the gobby stamps, i have heard he gets the monthly blankets for free. I have heard he can blanket actual events from his home chapter. Can someone please clarify this for us.

For the past 5 years the policy has been that Alliance HQ allows it's players to notify us as to when they will be doing on active duty deployment. We store that date (or we let them provide proof when they get back). Those players are then allowed to back blanket for the entire amount of time that they were on active duty (normally this is restricted to the past 3 months).

They still need to HAVE the gobbies to do the blanketing.

We appreciate the fact that they were unable to e-mail our staff while on deployment, which is why we give them that capability. However, it does not grant them free gobbies. They still have to donate to the chapter or provide a valued service to the organization to receive those gobbies to be able to blanket.

Before anyone says, "Robb you're not on staff anymore, Kyle should answer this." Let me make it known that I trained Kyle, and he and I discuss Logistics policies regularly when he requires assistance. We recently discussed this very issue. I assured him, this is the way the policy has been since I took over from Mike Engler years ago.

Official Alliance policy is as follows, this is what was approved by owners a few years back.

Alliance Player serving in the Military: Alliance customers that are deployed as a result of military, National Guard, or reserve responsibilities will be exempted from the three month from current date rule, and may purchase blankets for any events they missed up to 18 months while in service to our country and obtain goblin blankets normally upon their return to the United States
