So, at the last few games we've held at Millersylvania, we've had to be off site rather early. No more! We've worked out a deal to stay on site longer, which means that game will not be called so early on Monday. Exact times for Check Out and Game Off will be announced at some point prior to Game On. At the last game (even though it was at Sheppard) there were a number of people who had plans to leave early because they thought that game wouldn't really run on Sunday. Now that everyone knows that we have the site longer, everyone can make plans accordingly.
Wait, what's the catch you ask? Two things. First, it's costing us more money. The extra PCs and the increased game fees help pay for most of it. Second thing (and this one is really important): We had to get marked as "Good Campers," which means leaving the site cleaner then we find it. That means what happened at Sheppard last event can't ever happen again. Last event, Sheppard was left a mess, and just a few people were left to clean the whole thing. If you left site and there was more then one car in the parking lot, you weren't one of those people.
Site really needs to get cleaned thoroughly, so leave yourself time to help clean the tavern or a bathroom. There's been talk of a new cleanup program in addition to the one we already have that will hold individuals responsible for making sure things get cleaned, which would make it really easy to determine who suffers deaths and doesn't get XP for failing to clean. Sure, the site is big, but there's like 50 of us, so an extra 20 minutes mopping, sweeping, or scrubbing each goes a really long ways. Don't want to sound like a jerk, but I know everyone hated having to be off site by 11am, and if we all work together, we don't have to be.
