Missing person

Darkcrescent

Baron

Marshal
Dear people of Westhaven,

I know there has not been a Sheriff in town for a very long time, so I'm not sure who I may report a crime to. I'd like to report that my estate was broken into, robbed and property was damaged a few weeks ago. I'd like to report that 11 servants were also slain during this break in.

The McNulty Group has provided much commerce to this Barony over it's many years. We stay out of the light, and let events progress. We don't ask for much, but one of our family members has gone missing. I don't know if the robbers are also kidnappers, but when my carriage driver Shamus went to check on the servants, they were all slain, their bodies littered the floor, brooms and washcloths in hand. It was a horrible sight, truly dreadful.

I simply wish to know who I can report this crime to, as I would hate to bother the Duchess about this, but Teddy is very important to the family, and we need him back. Teddy, if you're out there, please find someone to bring you home!

Do you have a description of Teddy, Mistress ?

Perchance what he is likely wearing?

I am sure many will willing help find him for you. Many others can come to help you clean up after the incident. I myself am rather handy with a broom and am will to help you pick up the pieces of this unfortunate incident.

Please help us with some more information.
Thank you Mistress.

Of course dear,

He's rather tall, has a good set of hair, he's very pale, he doesn't like the outdoors, he wa..is Romani. He may be a little confused in the head though, he claims to hear voices, it's quite troubling, but he manages. It's a shame that one of our 3 family crypts were robbed. Why would people do this? I'm sure it's those adventurer types. First that Elf and Stone Elf try to burn down our house--if it wasn't for Alexis sending them away I don't know what I'd do. It's truly a shame, it really is.

I hope that helps deary.

Mistress McNulty,
Another question please- how old is Teddy? Also is he dangerous? I had an uncle once who heard voices and he got rather violent at times. Thought he was still in war.
I am very sorry that one would desecrate a burial crypt... That is an unforgivable offense. The dead should be left to their rest.
If he is Romani perchance some of our local Romani may know him- Jehan? Nikolai?

Was anything else if value besides Teddy stolen away?

And Thank you all that was very helpful, Mistress.

Sybill McNulty,

I am the newly appointed sheriff of Westhaven. I will arive shortly to investigate this unfortunate tragedy.
I promise i will find justice for your family.

Tets, sheriff of Westhaven

Thank you both. Besides Teddy, my favorite cup was taken. There were 100 cups, but they only took mine. It's purple and has a face on it, it's quite lovely, it was my late husbands. Teddy is pretty harmless, however his other personality is pretty angry, he calls himself Leon, he's not very nice, but Teddy and Aqua keep him in check. I just don't know where he could be, he kept himself behind a ward, but what or who could tear down magic like that...AND make such a mess?!

Sheriff Tets,

This issue has yet to be resolved. In fact, I haven't heard anything about anything. Perhaps I'll take this up with the Duchess.

Teddy- As mentioned, he's probably lost somewhere in a forest. He makes fantastic instruments, and had been for many years. We kept him safe because he would talk in 3 different voices and sometimes get really violet, then rather calm. I'd say I hope he isn't dead but that can't really happen with ol' Teddy.

Cup- Again, this was my late husbands favorite cup. I believe it was purple, it had a white skull on it. It was left around where Teddy was staying.

I mean sure, I could hire a member of the Celestial guild and get a Vision lore cast on them both, but components and scrolls are expensive. I'd rather sell them than use them, that is how money is made. I may be ancient, but I know my way around economics.

I believe there may be another solution to using your hard earned money on such spells. My employers have some experience in the tracking of persons and their rescue. I'm sure that they may be interested in helping to retrieve the cup and Teddy. Unfortunately I cannot make this call. I shall speak with Sam and Draco.

Don't worry Matron McNulty, it seems like this Tets person left a lot of things unattended. When I was at the library, he left a perfectly good journal behind! I thought that was pretty silly, so don't worry, you're not the only neglected thing by this jerk Tets! The journal is in good hands now and I'm sure Teddy is too!

Now, now, Sheriff Tets seems to me to be quite the upstanding gentleman. He brought me several items to the library to be copied, I certainly didn't leave it just lying around, we make sure that items of historical significance are well protected... except for that time a mummy strolled in and stole a book... but other than that, our catalogs are in excellent order!

Oh... Sorry Evangeline! I thought it was something he left irresponsibly, I didn't mean to insinuate that you're doing a bad job! The library is in perfect condition, I'm gonna find out where the mummy took that book and make sure it gets returned to the library in due order. I'll try to restore it if I can as well should it be damaged by that stupid mummy.

Sorry again, I'll let the knowledgable people talk about Teddy. Sorry... sorry.

Oh, don't worry, Keeper. You're a good librarian. Tets just brought us some documents for safekeeping... So we've been keeping them safe annnnnd... that's it, I guess. Although I don't know if the adventurers ever finished checking out that tomb, I wonder if there's still something down there?

Anyway, I do hope we can track down the book that mummy stole!

See you at the library tomorrow,

Sayyida Mcnulty,

I have a little experience in tracking as well as some in my employ have certain skills that can be useful to find a person. Please find me if you need help—or more help it seems—to find Teddy and your cup. Hopefully, your group and I will have good dealings in the future so I wish to start as quickly as possible to help fellow businesses.

Matron McNulty,

I do not know that delay in finding the resolution in this matter but I will seek out Sheriff Tets for you and request an update.

Ignathis, Keeper and Wild Rose

I am sure that Sheriff Tets is investigating this matter fully. We would not want to destroy any work he has done by tipping off the culprits before he can act and they get away. I would suggest talking with Sheriff Tets to see if any aid is need in and coordinate your efferent in this matter. He would have jurisdiction in this matter and we as adventures want to work with local authorities as much as possible to help heal the rift caused by the war.

Juunti Seablade,

Don't worry I calculate everything before I act. I was merely offering aid if there was need. And is not there a risk of tipping of the criminals by posting here?

Hello Wild Rose,
You are correct, but as I have no specific Information the risk is limited. I just know many see adventurers in a negittive light at this time. There are those look for excusses to have us outlawed again. I am suggestion anything we can do to assist in rebuilding the peoples trust is benificial for the kingdom. And work with the local authorities is one thing we can do.

Juunti Seablade,

Ah, I was not aware of such matters. I am new to adventuring myself and have never interacted with such types. Many places I go they enjoy a merchant coming through, so I apologize for not being aware. Ignorance is not always bliss.

My apologies,
