national event 2012 directions

could we get a physical address instead of some random gps coordinants please?

There's no actual address for the site, the buildings on the road don't have numbers unfortunately. But, if you look for the intersection of state roads 3029 and 706, that's the closest "landmark" of sorts. Just go south from that intersection about 3/4 of a mile.

The site has a mailing address, but I don't think GPSs revcognize it yet.

Actually, the coordinates put you dead on at the site. The actual street address assigned just last year put you about 5 miles out in a different township. Before last year, it was a Rural Route address, which doesn't show up on mapquests or GPS.

So, if you have complaints, please send them to googlemaps for not updating to the new addresses.

The road we are on is known as State Road 3029 and also as Ridge Road.

why not arrange to have a meet place with a few people that know where it is before hand?

There are turn by turn directions from Route 81 on the alliancelarp.com page.

the google map at: http://alliancelarp.com/directions.php is accurate. if you zoom in you can see the cabin on the site.

When I was first driving to the site a few years back, I took the google map directions, and the written directions Mike put on that page, and I was able to find it pretty easily. You just need to get to Route 3029 and find the right barn really.

Once you do arrive, use your GPS to "save" the location. That's what I did.

Hey that's great! A new map, showing the cabins! You can even see my Honda element parked in front.

The link used to go to a picture taken before we bought the site.
