NERO Oregon

erm......****. in a word.

This sucks, a lot. yesyes it does.

though in his saying

"I will not be selling or transferring the chapter to any other person either doing so would go against an agreement I made with the other founders of NERO Oregon."

does this mean that oregon as a homebase for a NERO alliance chapter is "up for grabs" so to speak by someone from the local community under the guidelines that NERO alliance has set up? If so, then I suppose all I can hope for is that someone will take initiative within that, since im most certainly not in such a position to do so.

if it doesn't happen, well, there is always seattle, though it would really be nice to have a chapter a little closer to home.

I would be issueing solemn goodbyes to plot aspects if I had played longer, but I well, havn't. Congrats to the Marks and all others for the work they've done, as what ive seen has been exellent,

I am left wishing I had more to say.

[EDIT: Stars a la Wolfie.]

Yeah... this really really sux... though there might be enough oregon players that we will see another soon enough... i hope :glum:

Huh... Well aside from Phill's gamedays this does screw alot of our plot from having a close weekend event to PC at. I DO hope somthing gets done about this, or that someone feels like founding a new one.

On the other side of this, I ask how this will be handled IN GAME.

Mark and I are in contact and will be working toward a solution for all of us who are still involved with Nero. I am in contact with Mike V and we are looking to come to some form of mutually beneficial solution. If you have any questions, please send an email to staff@nerooregon.com and we will respond to you. (or you can just message one of us directly).

All in all... we intend to keep going. We intend to move forward. Please bear in mind that neither Mark, Cymryc or myself have chosen to walk away and that this is expected to be a minor setback at most.

I have an updated copy of the Oregon DBs now, so any questions regarding transferring should be directed to logistics@neroseattle.com.

We will be discussing item transferrablility and the like at a staff meeting in the future.

Woah... This is... to say the least... shocking. In some respects a bad way to start the summer, but I'm ready to help if I am needed.

New Nero Oregon

If Nero Oregon falls i would like to get a new Nero Portland chapter into place. I will contribute anything i can to making a new Nero chapter in Oregon this includes money. I hope that we can have one working by July. If no one steps up to the pate as the new Nero Oregon owner i'l do it when I can afford the five hundred. All i want to do is have fun whether or not i make money or not. Hell I'l give the money i make away. I don't care about money I just want to have fun in Nero. With a couple of game days over the summer PLEASE.

Actually, the biggest hurdle to getting a new chapter up and running is getting the Alliance President's approval...the money is comparatively inconsequential.

I've spoken with Mike V, and while I can't go into details, it looks like things have a good chance of recovering. I can't say how long it will take for the chapter to be up and running again and I can't say what exact form that will take, but it's something that is being worked on. Plans are in place and action is being taken.
