New Character, Need Advice!

Hello everyone.
So hears the deal, I have been to 1 NERO event and i NPC'd and it was last year,
So now me and Joe Gladish (Sam and Isaacs little brother) are planning on starting new PC's.
And we have been working on this for about a week now,
I have decided I wanna play a Scavenger Scout.
But my predicament, I need some ideas on what a good animal to base it off of would be.
Sam Gladish said he was going to play a ferret scavenger. he never did, but thats a reasonable idea isnt it?
and what is better? sword and board? or shorty and long?
any help is greatly appreciated. thank you! :laugh:

scavengers...I love em
any real animal can work. You dont need to play some sort of predetor, or anything like that. As long as you can dream up a way to make a reasonaby convincing costume to represet what animal you are, and the animal is, well...real, its fair game
so yes. A ferret would be a reasonable choice. Racials would probably be dodge and resist poison, but if you can draw up a case for different racials, send that in plot's direction. The racials need to be something the animal inherently has: resist necromancy works perfectly with my characters background, but it was refused because rabbits have no inherent resistance to necromancy as far as any of us are aware (no rabbits were hurt testing this)

There is no "better" weapon style: whatever you fight with best is best for you

personally, I play a rabbit scavenger with racial dodge and racial profficiency fighting shortsword main hand, longsword offhand. The rest is FOIG ^^

Sword and Shield, it is nice cause you don't have to do much with the shield it simply blocks for you, however since it just sits there it tends to eat packets too.

Long and Short, many people tend to forget that they can attack with the short weapon, they really only use it to block with, doesn't eat packets the way a shield does, but takes more effort to block shots.

Really it is whatever you are comfortable with and works well for you.

JP can tell storyies about Alaric the blind he fought two handed sword, was legaly blind in one eye and had tunnel vision in the other, but was a terror to fight agianst when he had a two handed swod.

4 kids in need of ride to oregon.

ahh i dont worry, im not planning on my name being "Agent_Bitterman_009" thats just a temporary user name, im gonna make a new account as soon as i decide on my characters name.


me and 3 of my friends are in need of a ride to oregon, were not completely sure we are going, seeing as we dont have a ride but if we can get one that'd be amazing.
