New person

i am interested in Larp.. and was wondering where an average of people are located i am in Northeast Pa in Waymart area and was wondering if i could get someone to tell me some about Larp.. i have Rpg'ed back in the 90's...

I'm sure we can help you. What sort of information are you looking for?

We're an active LARP in NE Pennsylvania (our permanent site is just outside Scranton), so we're probably pretty close to your location. The best way to learn about LARPing is to experience it. I would suggest coming to an event and playing as an NPC. You don't need a costume or anything to start and it's a great way to learn the game and the people playing it!

If you're willing to spend a few bucks, you can download our Rule Book and it will answer just about any question you could have!

Otherwise, please feel free to ask anything you wish here and we'll be more than happy to help. We have an event this weekend -- maybe you could come up and NPC a bit (it's free, except for the membership fee).

I done some checking out on this web site for the past week and been thinking of doing some NPC'in just to check it out and see how it works...i figure like you said that would be the best way to learn it...what days do you run them? i saw there are weekend events... are there any ran on the week days also? reason i am asking is i work 10pm-6am and work weekends so i would not be able to stay the whole day. we bid every 3 months for a new post, watch and days off. but for the next quarter i will be sticking with nightwatch due to my oldest son starting sports and want to be active helping him. If i see what i like and enjoy the experince like i think i will.. i would want to be as active as i can but also not wanting to much take time away from my family.

Where about in waymart do you live? I used to work at the SCI Waymart a few years ago but since got another job elsewhere, so we moved closer to my job in Wilkes Barre. I was next to the post office in Waymart before I moved a few months ago. I'll be NPCing the event next weekend if you'll be there. I just started playing this season and I recommend NPCing as you pick up the rules much quicker and get a feel to what you may want to PC.

i am on south street waymart.. and i had a few family memebrs that work and use to work at SCI Waymart.. i work at USP Canaan myself

First off welcome to your new addition. If you dont have any friends that larp by the team you leave you will have 50.
