Newb introduction and question

Hey all, been lurking for a bit and just wanted to formally make myself known. This will be my first LARP, but I've been doing table top for 8 or 9 years now. My wife and I plan on starting in April, and we're both really excited to give it a try!

As to my question, I was just curious as to what you guys use to carry your equipment around. I've seen those leather sling pouches, but I can't imagine them being big enough to carry rope, a spellbook phys rep, thieves' tools, etc. Assuming I'm correct in that, any suggestions on how to carry big kit, short of carrying an anachronistic school backpack? Thanks!

P.S. - For what it's worth, I've already bought and read the rule book, so hopefully the questions I do ask won't be too exasperating.

Welcome! Glad to have you. hmmm, my primary (a human wizard) has light and heavy carry-modes. when it's light, it's just my pockets in my pants (black cargo) and my robes (which have hidden pockets sewn into them (and a belt with a money pouch, and sometimes rope hanging off it)... my packets are in my hands or in my robes and my wands as well.

when it's heavy, its a canvas satchel with a ton of packets, a ton of potions, light phys rep, spell book (sometimes), scrolls, paper, writing utensils, and various other little trinkets.

i never really need more than that, but of coarse i leave a bunch of other "just in case" things in my room (or bunk before i had my own room).

i know some of my warrior friends bring locked boxes for treasuries they keep warded and such and just carry with them what they need to survive the next fight. then go back and replenish. I do this myself with my secondary character (a wild elf rogue). with him, i only carry on me what i need to survive the next fight. the rest is in my sleeping space.

hope this helps!

A good leather utility belt also makes life about a thousand times easier :D I also have a few pouches just for aura/wands/etc.
