Next game day

Okay, I'm finally caving in to peer pressure and coming up to the next game day. I want to come up on saturday afternoon and hang out with anyone who'd care to, and I'll need a place to crash. Anyone who wants to host PM me and I'll take whoever makes the best offer :D .

Jeff

I will most definitely be up for the hanging outness! Unfortunately, I do not have crash space.

Jeff,

I would be down with hanging out and you are more then welcome to crash at Jim and mine's place!!

The usual location for gamedays is Hamlin Park in shoreline. The usual schedule has been every other weekend on Sunday (which includes events as a weekend). Of course, that's subject to change, but it's a fairly good indicator to go by most of the time.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. What is the time that a game day commences, and when does it end by? Jim's "same bat time" doesn't help those of us who haven't been to a Seattle game day in years :)

Thanks though ;)

Theoretically starts around 11 to noon............

And ending time varies a bunch, and may or may not have mods after it.

officaly the gameday starts at 11, but often after NPC weapons and checkin and tags and whatnot, it actally gets going 12:30-1:30. The gameday is normaly 3-6 hours long (normaly about 4) and is sopposed to be over before it gets dark as thats when the park closes. Often if its a nice day or the gameday ended on time, we will have a mod, sometimes 2 after it. I think there is a map on the site somewhere as to how to get there, but if not e-mail jim/dan/shane/brad ect to get the details.

OK, looks like I will be coming up for the gameday (other family stuff going on Saturday, so I will pop in on Sunday). I'll be leaving at 4 PM, but maybe things will actually get started on time so I'll be able to play some :P

Which rule system will the game be played under?

The new one. The 1st game I ran this month was under the new book, so its on:)..
It didnt seem to make a huge amount of diffrence tho.

In other news(this is to everyone), this is a good time to bring your book. I know I had a copy on hand for the last gameday. Tho the changes are mostly small, there are some that sneek up on you like the light spell.

How are spells in spellbooks being managed? Do we get new ones automatically, do we get "spellbook credit" for the spells we lose, can we immediately scribe new spells at cost, etc. etc... It was noted on the Alliance board that chapters would deal with the integration of new spells individually.

Thanks
-Bryan

As far as spellbooks go:

1) Credit is not given for lost spells.

2) New spells must be acquired in game and scribed as per usual. Plot will handle the introduction of new spells into the game.

3) Spells which only changed name or level do not need to be rescribed. Spells which have changed in effect or school are considered "new" and will need to be rescribed.
