You have to dream their name.

Gnot and not are seperate.

Plus how they are known in the dreaming.

The Vault should recognize the difference. Eric built it to reconize names plus, Radi has stated almost fifty names and the Vault did not recognize any of those. We have openly stated the name of the devourer here.

Perhaps the Vault is malfunctioning?

The 24 names it tried to recognize where the 24 words he said in the 'only speak in here to add someone' section of the vault. You then spoke in the 'only speak in here to add someone' section of the vault. and someone got added. Please don't blame the magic for not picking up on a tiny, silent variation between not, and gnot, which is pronounced as 'not' and just be more careful.

I took a few hours to calm down before I spoke. Everyone here agreed to the terms of being invested in this Vault, to gain its protections, which was spoken to each individual by myself, before they drunk an enslavement antidote in my presence. I will take action to protect those in this Vault, and to protect my spirit, which protects this Vault. The Vault picks up on verbal cues. So, Enan is correct, and "not" would recognize "Gnot".
