Calling all Alliance Seattle LARPers!
The time for us to gather to promote Alliance LARP's Seattle chapter is now! We have the clearance to swing sticks in a small free-play space at the 36th Norwescon, one of the Pacific Northwest's largest and oldest science fiction/fantasy conventions. This occurs on Easter weekend at the end of March from Thursday to Sunday at the Seatac Doubletree just off of 99 (www.norwescon.org). The more decked out we can make our table and our presence known to this community, the better. And if we do a solid enough job this year with the setup that we have, we can possibly get into ballroom space next year to do demos.
So I'm calling for anyone who has time on Thursday to help run a bit of programming from 12pm to 3am (Or until we get tired) and Friday from 1pm to 5pm. We also have fantables to staff as well. You may very well be asking, "Hey Gabe, why should I volunteer my time and not get XP for it?" -- I'm glad you asked. Volunteers will not be receiving gobbies for their time with me at conventions. You will receive Dragon Stamps. What's a Dragon Stamp? Why it's the national level payout for helping. You can use your Dragon Stamps (draggies?) to buy dragon blankets or a selection of the following RESTRICTED magic items found at this post on the national board: http://www.alliancelarp.com/forum/viewt ... =50&t=6308
Currently I have the following volunteers listed who are helping me at Norwescon:
Full weekend:
Sean Graczyk
Adam Fenerty
Denise Brown
Saturday and Sunday
Nick Bond
Dave (Garrick)
I need names of volunteers ASAP so I can submit for our badges so you can go and enjoy Norwescon after our first couple of days of programming, all we'll have left is to run fantables. So please get to me as soon as you can. And if I don't get your name down on my list in time for when I get our badges in the next few days, I'll see what I can do. But please get to me as soon as you can for this. I'll especially need volunteers on Thursday and Friday.
Thanks in advance for helping make Alliance's presence known in the con circuit!
