Special Cold Weather Safety Notes:
WEAPONS SAFETY CHECK ON FRIDAY
Some weapons materials can become brittle or hard as bricks when it's very cold. Check your own weapons by hitting your best friends in the face with them when you're out in the cold. If you're no longer friends afterward, that weapon is probably not safe to use at Alliance this weekend.
Every weapon needs to be checked for safety EVERY EVENT. Even if we've passed your weapon before, yes, it needs to be done again every single event.
This event, I will be assisted by the lovely and talented Izzy Veldhuis. Izzy will be available in Hightown/Greenwood Circle, in what is normally the Bayenna cabin from ***7-9 Friday night***. Please be super nice to him, and thank him especially for volunteering to help me out this event with this task! Iz is the bomb, yo.
I will be in the Town Guard barracks, which is the creepy cabin way behind the Healers Guild from ***5-9 Friday night***. If I'm freezing my pieces off, I may move to the hopefully warmer Tavern, where I understand that Logistics will be held this event. I will be available at convenience for spot checks thereafter. If you arrive late, please feel free to pull me aside discreetly during the game for a quick check. I’ll be playing Lola the swamp witch this event.

- NOV 2016 EVENT ONLY: Armor requirement to wear physreps is suspended at night. Jesse and I have conferred on this - During the day, business as usual, wear your armor physrep. At night, you need only to carry your armor tag (must have tag on you, as usual), but you do not need to wear your physrep.
- No snow! (Allegedly.) Dry weather is predicted for the event, no rain or snow, hooray!
- But super chilly... Friday's daytime high is predicted in the 30s, with an overnight low on Friday night between 5-11 degrees, depending on news source. Saturday should be warmer, near 40 in the daytime, and "only" down to low 20s at night. That minxy siren Sunday will greet us with temps up to 60 degrees in Woodland Park while we load our cars to go home....
- Don't hit so hard! When it's this cold, please be extra careful to check your swings, and swing a little less ferociously than normal.
- Be on time for encounters outdoors: PCs and hard-working NPCs, both, if you have an encounter scheduled at a set time, please try hard to arrive on time. Don't keep other players waiting outside in this cold longer than they have to.
- Be extra super duper nice to our NPCs and full-time staff this event! Their numbers are few, their courage is great, their bits will be cold, their endurance will be taxed!
