I saw the FB thread, but in trying to stay consistent with official threads here, here is more info on some of your questions:
NPC shifts:
Friday night, they will not be necessary during the boat fights, as these will probably be closer to 10-15 min each. It would take me longer to stat you and get in an out of costume than it's worth. Since it will be 15 of us against each boat, we won't even need extra npcs for it. However, later is a strong possibility. LOL
Here are the shifts I normally post for PCs. A player receives 10GS per hour of NPCing during an event at which they paid to PC!
Friday night 12-2
Saturday 10-12 (eat breakfast first! LOL)

2-4
4-6
8-10
10-12
12-2
