On the wish list

With the changeover in staff, I figure it's worth bringing up the regularly-scheduled wish list of things I'd love to see publicly available. Some stuff that is still on my wish list:

Regularly updated donation-to-goblin-stamp list - I know that lists have been passed around, but I think a commitment to update such a list at least once every three months is not an unreasonable request (or confirm that no change is necessary when such occurs).

Goblin-stamp-to-ritual-item policy - This one seems to keep going round and round. I appreciate that before the November event, Dan responded to my inquiries and requests so that I could have things by the event. But that should not have had to be the case. I appreciate that he has put forth effort in working out an amenable system. I do not know if that system was coordinated with the plot team to promote the kind of game that they wanted to produce, and even if it were, I don't know if those jibe with the current plot team's goals/intents. I realize that with the changeover in plot and management, this may take some time. But surely a reasonable deadline date can be decided on and met.

Race packets - Never seen one for any of the races I play, though there is some minor fluff in there (animals for Barbars, for instance, and what I'm guessing is best described as "dark elf fanfic".

Publicly-available town and region map - There have been assorted discussions of "the players shouldn't have that, that's what makes it cool and IG", but even a country map without defined borders to give people a sense of direction and vague idea of distance would be good so that players aren't frustrated when they go to plot for some non-repped resource, etc. And a map of the Crossroads seems like it should easily be publicly available.

Stuff that's already on the wish list, at least for the website:

-photo gallery
-character database with build requests
-monster database
-site locations and directions
-local variations to rules
-newbie guide, including "what should I expect at my first event" and "what should I bring to an event"
-game schedule
-online pre registration
-weapon making tutorial, including where to get materials locally

I'm sure there's more, Dave and I have been talking a lot lately.

I think this is JP's presonal, "I want to have these things readily available" list. He is right on a lot of it, and we are working to make these things more easily available. There is a running wishlist on the main site for those who are registered and sign in. These are things that we *always* need.

Something I would love to see would be a Staff list Sticky so it does not go away with all the Email address's for Logistics and plot and such. Just recently the other thing I would love to see was put up and that is an up to date sticky event calender! Thanks for putting that up!

Hey guys, speaking of website, and wish lists...here's a thought...
I recently threw up a website for my werewolf larp down here in the bay area, I needed a domain name, forums, and webspace, and I needed it quick. I am not html, php savvy, and all my friends that are are swamped...so...like any good geek, I forged on ahead looking for html editors, and the like.
I found a program called bluevoda...it's super easy, even my html ******** self was able to build a moderately attractive almost function website in just a few hours... You can make templets, the works they have flash video tutorials, and their staff is awesome. Plus, here's the kicker, they will host your domain name, and their hosting comes with mysql so you can throw up a phpbb in as long as it takes you to make the forums...the hosting fee is under 20 bucks a month, and there is no hassle. The only downside is the blue voda software suite (which is free) only works with their servers...so you download the stuff it's plug and play drag and drop to make your website will take you about two days tops. You can look at mine, and I really, did not put that much effort into it, but it only took me a few hours to build.
