Can we make sure that this year's race course does NOT take the participants through a nest of ground wasps or similar hazard? As much fun as I may have had playing healer out-of-game, pumping people full of benadryl should not be a tournament task.
Indeed, as I will yet again be missing an event due to work so you will be down a provider or two. This was regularly scheduled work though, just can't always work events in the weekend schedule. Thankfully, we have some trained new people!
This may be true but the shortest distance between two points is a straight line, so when designing the course, even if the intent is for them to run around a bend, please investigate where said straight line would take the racers.
No, and given the current pre-reg list, I am feeling that was definitely the right decision. It is a major resource draining event, which always hurts on low attendance weekends.
Honestly, there were two factors in event planning.
1) IG appropriateness
2) Weekend planning. Amelia has a heavily packed weekend and tournament events seriously eat into time. We tried to make the events as time light as possible and tried not to have too many.
The Grand Melee is sorta the catch-all event for anyone with any skills to participate in. Though, personally, I would LOVE to see a wand dueling event sometime in the near future (props to Henry for that suggestion).
Wand dueling would be fantastic! That wouldn't even really hurt resources that much.
If we could get enough celestial scholars (at least 4) I'd love it if you could add that event.
Still sadness for no spellcasting... There are always more monsters... but getting to dual other actual PC's is always a highlight of tournaments for me, oh well.
