To avoid complications let me underline a few things as I've already heard assumptions causing rumors to swirl, so the following would be well known and obvious to your characters.
1.) The In game location for this event is about 10 miles from Hopes Reach, away from the front lines. This is were the Ritual of Respite will be held, as well as being intended to be the seat of the newly forming Barony, Lord Idden himself is schedule to make an appearance to hear ideas. This location is a small trading post/town fairly close to a river that runs through most of Gaden.
2.) This is NOT a tournament event, there is no strutured tournament planned or even hinted at by anybody. However there are a few groups taking advantage of the gather to hold contests as part of the overall festival feel of the Respite.
3.) It is the Respite, the corrupt have not attacked since the beginning of September, and arn't expected to make trouble until about 10 days after the event.
4.) Despite my attempts the moon still intends to reach it's zenith on Friday of the event, IN - GAME the moon will reach it's zenith Saturday night....you are all excellent rpers I'm sure you can pretend not to notice the slight waning
