Overnight Gameday at Millersylvania: July 6-7, 2012

Alliance Seattle would like to announce an overnight gameday to be held and Millersylvania State Park ELC in three weeks, July 6-7! The event has just been added to the 2012 Calendar (but check out our 2013 Calendar as well!). This will be an overnight gameday at our usual event site, so it will be taking place in Tarndale. Because of the significant cost involved in getting Millersylvania as our location, we're increasing the cost to PC this game to $20. NPCs will still play for free, but we have not yet organized an NPC meal plan because the site became available without much notice and we grabbed it, so we can't guarantee a food plan yet.

This overnight will technically be a gameday for logistical purposes, with a rolling lay on starting in the early evening. That means one set of production, spells, skills, etc, however, more than one 'day' of loot, 'cause that's how we roll. Because we'd like to get in as much game time as possible, we won't be having a hard lay on time and we won't be having the traditional 'Opening Ceremonies,' so please be respectful of people RPing in the tavern and other IG areas if you get in later and need to pack in some of your things. Unfortunately, another group has the site after us on Saturday, so we need to pack up and clean the site so we can be gone by noon. We'll be calling game off at 10am, then people need to hustle to make sure we can pull off all the cleaning and packing that we need to. Hopefully, we won't have been on site long enough to make any significant messes and our clean up will go quick.

The specific plot points of the gameday are still in the works, but we intend to have opportunities for both RP and combat, the extent of which will be somewhat dependent on the back trails (which were cleared out a bunch a few weeks ago) and available lighting, but since it's getting dark so late, we're hoping to be able to have safe combat even if we don't have much moonlight. We'll be announcing something in the next couple weeks to give you a little more info, but this would also be a wonderful opportunity to put together a community 'feast' or 'tavern night' sort of deal and do a big potluck or something if people are interested in putting something like that together. This would need to be strongly PC-driven, however, since we expect a slightly smaller NPC turnout and fewer PCs from farther away because of the late notice and we won't have the NPC resources available to guide such an undertaking, though we could probably help.
