Suppose that Bob is refitting Alice's armor. Suppose that Bob only has 1 level of Smithing and nothing else that reduces refit time, so that the refit is supposed to take 60 seconds. Bob counts to 60 and says "refit complete", but Alice is wearing a watch and knows that Bob was counting too fast and the "counting to 60" took only 40 actual seconds.
1. Should Alice take the refit, or should she tell Bob that he's not done yet?
2. If Alice should take the refit, does Alice's character perceive the refit as (a) taking the 40 actual seconds it took, or (b) the 60 seconds that it "should" have taken?
3. Suppose instead that Alice does not know what game skills Bob has. If the answer to (2) is (b), does that mean that whenever Alice gets a refit from Bob, Alice is expected to ask Bob what relevant game skills he has, so Alice knows how long her character perceived the refit to take.
4. Again if the answer to (2) is (b): suppose for instance that Alice observes another character Charlie, elsewhere on the battlefield, get knocked unconscious 5 seconds before Bob starts his refit. Would this imply that at the end of the refit, even though Alice as a player knows that it has only been 40 seconds (and thus Charlie still has 15 seconds left on his bleed-out timer), Alice's character believes that 60 seconds have elapsed (and thus Alice is expected to proceed as if she thinks Charlie's bleed-out timer is finished)?
