Pictures - December event

Due to an overwhelming lack of rulebook-quality pictures we will have the cameras out in force at the game day and event in December. Everyone please endeavor to look your best if you want a shot at being in the 10th edition rulebook!

We are also requesting that anyone who is planning to bring a camera to the event please try and get some good, clear pictures. Requirements are as follows:

  • No underexposed or overexposed photos
  • Pictures must be sharply defined, not blurry
  • Color or Black and White ok
  • Digital photos must be in .tif or .jpg format, and of as high a resolution as possible
  • No OOG photos, or photos taken in OOG areas (kitchen, monster camp, etc)
  • Photos must be as free of anachronism as is reasonably possible. Please try to avoid shots of tables, bunks, modern food containers, etc.

I will give goblin stamps for each photo that I send to HQ, but in order to do so I need them ASAP after the December event.

For more information please email manager@neroseattle.com.

Definitely getting my hair cut before the event now. :)

Excellent. I have two new outfits to wear as my PC.

In that case, Knights, let's all try to do a group shot on Saturday. Uniforms if you've been granted them, etc.

Bah. Stupid uniforms. Who needs 'em???

I should be at the Dec. event. It would be nice to get a group shot for ourselves even if we don't get it in the book. I'll bring my digital camera -- it takes pretty decent shots.

so.. i guess it's ok to take some pictures in game? The games i've gone to I keep wanting to take a few pictures, but generally i feel that that will throw people off.. cause the camera can't be in game.. I did get some in the cabin last game though, when people were kinda half in/half out of game.
any thoughts on picture taking, anybody?

What about weapons in the photos? Should we pose using real steel weapons like on the cover of the 9th ed. rulebook, or should we use our boffer-safe weapons? Or would it be a good idea to pose with a little of both kinds?

Only pictures with boffer weapons will be sent in. The live steel pictures that made it into the book last edition did not go over too well, so we will be avoiding them if possible.

Please feel free to take and submit as many pictures as you like. All I ask is that the guidelines above are adhered to for the pictures that you want to receive goblin stamps for (all pictures, including those those that do not meet the requirements, can be uploaded to our album at http://www.neroseattle.com/cgi-bin/album.pl), and that you be conscientious of other players when taking pictures (for example, don't interrupt roleplay or combat for a picture). If you are doing a group shot (or other posed shouts) please do it before or after the game so as not to disrupt things. Candid pictures are fine too, but as I said, please try not to disrupt the game.

I'll be NPCing but I can bring all my stuff to dress up for the picture if they don't mind. Since I'll be NPCing I'd be willing to spend a considerable portion of the event taking pictures as well. Consider this an open offer if you'd like seattle staff.

Nah. You'll be too busy prancing

Please try and do group shots either before or after the game, so as not to disrupt things.

My initial assumtion was the core Knights, but if I'm wrong and you want everybody who's accepted the invite, you want I should tote my Iftikhaar gear up?

Umm..yeah. If there are objections, I can take a hike, too. That's why I asked in the first place.

I can just see it. . . under "what not to do" a picture of Alexandros. All alone. Surrounded by liches. And skeletons. And a little caption under it saying
"Whatever you do, don't pick a fight with the undead"
:)

Re: Alexandros

From the stories I've been hearing about Alexandros' survival skills, being Alexandros somewhere outside of a warded bank vault with armed guards at the entrance seems like asking to die, lol.

Seriously, great character, he just seems to have difficulty breathing.
