polearm use

Just a quick question.
Polearms can be used dependant on what their head looks like (and safe construction) right?
Ie: a hammer head "smash"
an axe head "slash"
a spearhead "stab" (with thrust tip)

So a 2 ft long double edge spear like blade could stab and thrust? As long as it's OKd by a Marshal as safe?

Correct. As long as it is not a two handed blunt weapon and it meets the squishy tip requirements. Page 83 addresses this. I would quote it but im on my phone.

A polearm, in Alliance lexicon, is a hafted two handed weapons with a blade on the far end.

Polearms should be made with at least one striking surface and, if materially appropriate, a thrusting tip.

Cool thanks. Just had a conversation about it the other day and figured we needed clarification. I was looking to make a
Large blade TH spear (polearm) for slash and stab and the "argument" came up that Polearms are only single sided edge or blunt with no thrust tip.
