Preregistration for the upcoming Maelstrom season closer is now open. Please find the link to the preregistration form HERE. You can pre-pay for the event Here.

Preregistration will close at midnight Pacific time on Sunday, Oct 7th.

We are still working to confirm the location for this event.

Dates: Oct 12-14
Pricing:
• Pre-registration: $65
• With late fee for no pre-reg: $85
Location: Joseph D. Grant Park
Campaign: Maelstrom

Please submit build expenditures, LCO scroll purchases, and other similar items in advance of the event, to ensure that our Logistics processes are as streamlined as possible.

Please only submit production requests for the first Logistics period of the event. If you would like to submit both Logistics periods in advance because it makes your life easier, please clearly indicate which requests are for Friday and which are for Saturday.

Please remember when filling out the preregistration form, that all Magic Items must be pre-registered. Items that are not pre-registered will need to be presented at check in.

If you need to receive any asset tags from an item acquired in a prior game, the pre-registration form now has a space to request those tags so that Logistics can prepare them in advance.

Downtime submissions are already closed for this event.

As our location is TBD, cabin assignments will be handled after our site is confirmed, first-come first served in order of pre-registration. If you have medical or other special needs for your sleeping space, please do still note those in your pre-reg.

Site update!

Our site for this event will be Joseph D. Grant Park in San Jose.
You can see their website here: https://www.sccgov.org/sites/parks/parkfinder/Pages/JosephDGrant.aspx
And a map of the park here: https://www.sccgov.org/sites/parks/parkfinder/Documents/JDGrantGuideMap.pdf

We will be camping in the Woodland Youth Camp Ground.

This will be a tent camping event, with bathrooms and showers on site.
We will have access to power, but it will likely be limited to Monster Camp and those with medical needs. If you have a need for power and have not already reached out, please let me know ASAP.
We are expecting camp-style cooking options, but we are much closer to civilization than we usually are (just 20 min from East San Jose) so going off site for food and other needs is very doable.

Anthea and I will be heading down tomorrow for a site visit, so we will have more information for you then. If you have any questions, please send them my way as soon as you can.

Thanks once again for your patience!

Anthea and I took a trip to this weekend's site, and have some more information!

WHERE TO GO
Woodland Youth Camp is located in the back of JD Grant Park. Head toward the traffic circle near the parking lot, make a right, and then there will be signs you can follow to get to our area. You can drive to the camping area, but only three cars at a time are allowed into the marked loading zone. We will have someone there to help direct traffic, as well as show people which areas will be available for PC camping. Please be kind to that person, and your fellow players, and unload your stuff quickly so others can do the same.

FIRE
There is a burn ban in effect this weekend. (Take a look a the remnants of the controlled burn we saw today, right outside the park entrance!) This means campfires, charcoal camp stoves, and smoking are all prohibited. Propane stoves are OK.

FOOD
We are going to be providing Saturday meals for PCs as well as for Cast and Crew. Saturday breakfast will be Anthea's camp breakfast: hash of potatoes, eggs, and optional sausage and cheese. Saturday dinner will be chili, with both a vegetarian and a meat option. If you have any dietary concerns that make this a problem, please contact us ASAP. Of course, you're welcome to bring your own food if you prefer. You are welcome to bring your own propane stove, prepared food, or take a quick trip off site. Please also provide your own Friday dinner and Saturday lunch if you want them. Also, we are thinking we probably won't bring pastries for Sunday breakfast because they usually go uneaten. If you feel really strongly about pastries, please speak up now.

FACILITIES
Our camp area has (surprisingly clean!) portopotties, and plenty of water taps. Showers and standard bathroom facilities are available at the campsite across the road, but it is a bit of a walk. Please also make sure to make use of the provided secure trash containers and food lockers, to keep critters away from our stuff. We will be bringing our generator, but limiting its use to Monster Camp, cooking, and those with medical needs. If you have your own generator, you are welcome to bring it.

LOOKING FOR A FEW THINGS
We are looking for the following items to be brought for use in this event, and are offering gobbies if we can borrow them
-Pop up tents, pavillions, or other means to create shade on site.
-More tapestries and other fabrics for decoration/construction
-Extra tents and camping gear, for those that might not have it.
-Extra crock pots, for chili
