Alliance LARP Seattle has officially stopped requiring Spell Ink tags to be found In-Game to copy Spell Books. Spell Ink is now available at Logistics for 2 copper per Spell Level, as listed as an example in the Rulebook v1.1.
In-Game, after asking around, you find out that both the Brotherhood of the Star and the Earth Guild have acquired a stock of Spell Ink and can provide it at cost. The person you talked to in passing is not a magic user, though, and so he does not know how free these organizations will be with supplying the Spell Ink especially with the adventurer's being so paranoid about the natives casting magic. But, you are reasonably certain that people who traveled to Tarndale through the Andarian Portal will have adequate access.
