A truth of adventuring is that the mists scoop you up and often take you to where you are needed most. One truth reigns in Fortannis and that is ancient evils often stir or are used by those who actively pursue it, and adventurers often are needed to quell the onslaught. Long ago The Elder Dragons waged war against each other and would craft vast armies. In many cases these armies were destroyed, in a few they were stored for another day. One such army has been found in a vast vault by one of the oldest families of the realm, and now is set to motion. The wind swirls and forms a vision: An aged elf with tight drawn skin and skeletal features, complemented by both fearsome glowing green eyes and strange grafts of sharp bone and metal attached to him is visioned from afar. He nods as a squad of his death knights march through an open portal with the order "Roust the ancient army and than use this plaque to open a portal to the realm to raze my enemies"
