Props Day

Hi all,

I will be holding a props day at my store on Saturday April 2nd from 11am to 6pm.

Materials will be provided, I just need help refitting weapons and making packets.
Donations for HQ will be gladly accepted. We really just want to kick of the season right.
Please come out and start getting ready for HQ's season opener at the end of the month!

You will be compensated for the time you leave your house to the time to return home from helping with props!

All gobbie stamps will be awarded prior to you leaving the party so you know what you have been awarded.

Hope to see you there! Sorry about the short notice!

- Rich

I would, but I'll be running Caldaria's Opener.

Because I'm a pain - is there a recent props list?

We are in a transition for the head or props, with Maggie taking over for Rich at the first event. Maggie will be at both work weekends and I imagine will be doing an inventory and have some prop lists up after that.

I'm assuming we can always use packets, including the new blue arrow packets, since it's likely the critters had a field day with whatever was left in NPC camp.

And Makeup donations are always needed.

Packets I can do :) We have quite a bit of blue material to use!

Make-up, cool. Just want to make sure I'm not buying NPC camps 450th orange pancake that no one is using! Any other make-up things like horns or ears that are needed - or should I wait for props day?

I certainly hate the idea of getting you guys unneccessary stuff, I used to be the one who had to turn away the donations of 300 2.5lb daggers made with lime green duck tape. ;) I don't want to be the person who GIVES that crap!

You can't go wrong with green/brown/red/black, no matter how much we get it WILL be used. I'm sure Maggie will post any others that we are low on or need added to the palette.

Seriously, you left out white? What kind of head of plot doesn't know you always need white???

Scott

Must have been my clown fear talking.

It's ok... I honestly didn't read his list ;) I just knew what colors were common for some strange reason. It's like I've played this game before... nah, that can't be it.

^This :D After this weekend, I can confidently say that we DEFINITELY need new (especially blue, orange, and white) packets, since yes, the mice enjoyed what we left behind.

And like the others said, you can never, never, NEVER go wrong with green/brown/white/black/red/maybe even some purple cake makeup. And wedges. Sooo many wedges.

Wedges and baby wipes are ALWAYS needed. You'd be amazed how quickly we go through these. But please, make sure they are baby wipes or makeup remover wipes and not the antibacterial hand wipes; they are NOT kind to your face, especially not with the number of makeup changes an NPC has to do.

I wouldn't be amazed, honestly, it used to be my job to make people donate them...lol Used to have to give incentives all the time for wipes!

Seriously, people do that? I've never once thought "Ooooh antibacterial handwipes, that would be heaven on my eyelids!" lol.

Personally, I'd love it if facewipes were a more financially feasible possibility, because ugh! those baby wipes kill your face. I wonder if anyone has tried the "green" baby wipes - could get some bamboo fiber, make up a ton of them and then make the solution for each event (though running water or big bowls of solution to float them in would be important). Would cut down on the need for constant purchase. The initial curve would be steep, but in the end it would just result in more laundry... <shrug> just a random idea. :)

For the record, I intend to donate wedges at the beginning of pretty much every event since they're one of the few things I can afford. So, theoretically, you should always have some wedges! ...Some.
Some.

I don't think the people who bought the antibacterial wipes realized that they weren't the same - the packaging really isn't terribly different. Hence the "please check." :)
