relationship to nero...

so I used to play nero in denver. it seems the rules are extremely similar. Is there some sort of existing relationship to nero? do characters transfer over?

Historically speaking the two started out as the same game, which was just called NERO if I'm not mistaken. One long story later, the two split into the NERO Alliance and NERO International. One legal spat later, the NERO Alliance was renamed Alliance LARP. A lot of the rules are the same, but there are some relatively significant differences between the two that you may not notice on paper but become more apparent when you actually play. There's not much of an existing relationship between the two at this point and characters don't transfer between the two games.

If you have any specific questions about the differences between the games or anything like that, feel free to shoot me a PM - I played NERO in Indiana and Ohio for 3.5 years before moving up to Minnesota and starting out with Alliance about 3 years ago.
