The following information has been gathered by publicly available sources. Some of what follows may be rumor, but a great deal has been confirmed and re-confirmed by multiple sources.

Silverford proper has been overrun by undead. While a great many of the strongest undead were seen to be of the spectral variety during the evening's assault, skeletal undead by the hundreds have been spotted throughout the city. Nearly the entirety of Silverford has been evacuated of anyone living. The undead crawled out of the very shadows and killed hundreds or thousands in a surprise attack from within the city. No one yet is certain of the extent of this assault.
At approximately the same time as the attack, a great magical barrier was erected from within the rivers bordering Silverford. Current reports indicate that it may encircle the island entirely, as fishermen as far south as Agolon report being kept in by it. The barrier has been becoming weaker over the last few days, and small groups have been able to push through, two or three at a time in some locations. The first group to pass through via ferry reported empty barrels washed up on shore with traces of sparkling sand in the bottoms of them.
There are no fewer than seven claimants to the throne at this time, though most folk are determined to stay un-involved, as the winter has been hard enough. Popular opinion remains that the politicians will handle the politics, and the farmers will handle the farming. We must stress that this is not the time for in-fighting among politicians, and ask that all personnel of any rank remain vigilant and loyal to her majesty.
Militias from across Andar, who were already active, have been receiving conflicting orders, occasionally from the same sources. Significant troop movements suggest a great many military operations in various parts of the kingdom with a variety of goals.
Very little news of any kind has come from the southeast and along the coast, messengers sent weeks ago have not yet returned. A large group of armed men moved across the northern boarder into Llantry in the days following the attack on Silverford. Their purpose is as of yet unconfirmed.
