Why indeed do I choose shadows
To convey my private heart
I assure you this is not hollow
though perhaps it is a lark
Who can't men decry in public
whether hate or scorn or mirth
I can't help but have my critic
But the truth is plain as earth
That I must act in the night
That I love through guise and guile
I am not a shining Knight
I am just of rank and file
That you know me does not matter
I can't show you all the signs
It's not proper to be with her
Monsters roost at our front lines
Care not truly show the truth
For a monster I must be
Let these poems act as proof
while we fight our enemy
Question not please my intention
