Reward for Information

Newbie
I am posting a 3 silver reward for information about the explosive device set on the Earth Guild just over a month ago.

There will be a more significant and personally tailored reward (read, most likely a magical trinket) for the individual who's information is most useful in the conviction of this criminal.

Please direct all responses to me personally and privately either at the Earth Guild or at my private residence.

The reward for information has incresed to 5 silvers. The secondary reward stands as is.

Well I think five silvers is incredibly low based off the amount you could likely profit. The justicar levied a fine of 45 gold against Mykell for trying to kill Taran who is a mere merchant...

Taran was to recieve that payment to compensate for his trauma.

I would imagine that an actual guildmistress and someone who is also a merchant in the area that was blown up by an assassins trap alongside the head of the celestial guild would easily bring that settlement in court to double that.

So you could be looking to profit ninety gold.

I'll take a shot at figuring out who it is for half that.

IF monetary recompense is granted as a result of any Noble decisions, and you yourself would prefer a monetary reward versus some minor magical trinket, then it can certainly be arranged that half of any recompense I receive would go to the individual with the most useful information.

The previous reward still stands should there be no monetary recompense.

I cannot offer more than that. A large portion of my personal money has been used to fund into the Earth Guild's chapter house here.

Tho I do agree the amount is a little low (I would have offered 5 gold i think.) I think you miss the fact that Taran was in fact a merchant in good standing. Merchants under local law are ranked under nobles, and above commoners. Now if he had been a mere peddler, I suspect the fine would have been much lower, but the laws are (In many ways) made to protect merchants, and to make people think about the cost of assulting them.

I was under the idea that both Diera and Shikar held noble titles... or were at least merchants. Diera is a chapter house guildmistress, along with Shikar being a chapter house guildmaster, and I also believed they were licensed merchants. I would have believed that either of them held more respect than Taran did at the time of this assault.

Now as far as the reward, I do not care about the exact amount. I would typically not earn the animosity of an assassin for five silver... but I may do so for a few gold. However with the fines or reimbursement being so high in Dagliano, it only made more sense to ask for part of that reimbursement.

It's good business to split profits when you have to endanger yourself.

More money is a good idea. I enjoy being blown up, to a degree and only at special times, but I wouldn't put myself in a position where someone wants to blow me up for just 5 silver.

5 silver is what I can afford for general information. As previously stated, I've been sinking much of my personal funds into the Earth Guild. Please reread the above offers if you believe you have more than general information.

Add a gold to that total that I'll pay.
Regardless of people's personal opinions of people who are a part of the Earth Guild, the Earth Guild itself is needed and should not be jeopardized.
