Ride from SEA-TAC

Hey,

Is anyone willing/able to help a large group of us hitch a ride from SEA-TAC airport. Would work well if you had a shuttle Bus or Minivan.

We are willing to be squeezed like sardines, and maybe we can put a couple of us on the roofs.

If not, does anyone know of any shuttle Bus service? Maybe we can get a shuttle to/fro the airport as opposed to renting 2 cars and paying for them to sit in a parking lot for 3 days. (seems overly expensive)

Our group is planning to arrive Mid Afternoon Friday and leave around 5:00 PM on Monday (Does that seem doable without us missing any action?)

That sounds ok, a little rushed maybe, but do-able. There's probably a shuttle of some kind you could take from sea-tac to olympia, which is 10 mins from site. I'd be willing to bet that there are people who will have some room though.

As long as you guys are willing to get split up (people might have room for 1 person here and 2 people there but I doubt 6 or 7 in one trip) you should be able to snag rides from people coming from up north, would be my guess.

Do you know if anyone is planning on flying into Portland?

I'm pretty sure none of us care who picks who up so long as we get there and back.

Bryan,
If we can find a cheaper flight to Portland, should we do that?

I won't be leaving my place (about half hour North of Seattle) until around 6pm or so. If there is still someone around by the time I could arrive at SeaTac (around 7:30pm depending on traffic) I might be able to take one person, maybe two.

I tend to take a lot of stuff (bottles of drink and stuff) which is why I would need to limit it.

I can also take a person or two back to SeaTac on Monday.

Paul - It looks like I may be flying up from Texas for this one as well. What time are you guys looking at landing at Sea-Tac? Might as well coordinate things if we can. I'm going to see what renting something for the weekend will set me back, but if there's a shuttle that gets near to site, that would be better.

Hoy Kiefer,

We are booked for Arrival at SEA-TAC at 5:45 PM PST.

We are looking into getting a 10 person shuttle van there and back with a quick stop at a Safeway for any supplies we might need. (Chillsagna anyone?)

We would love to add 1 more to split the costs of a shuttle. Right now it would seem that 30-40 per person is the likely price both coming and going.

Do you know what time the IOWA crowd is planning on showing up?

If they can mayhaps we can just coordinate a convoy with them and save ourselves a bit o cash. ( still giving them gas moolah of course)

On another, I will be sending out all the updated sheets from people who are going to this event to Seatle's logistics on Feb 2nd. Please let me know what you need, in the form of updates, on Feb 1rst.

I haven't heard the exact plan from my crew, but I'm fairly sure they're driving as of last check. Knowing the previous wrath of the Road Trip Gods, this may or may not be a great thing. I would love to get in on a shuttle for this one. What time are you looking at heading out on Monday? I'll schedule my flights around the timing for this, since we're far enough out to get decent pricing.
