Just a reminder everybody:
If you know in advance you wish to cast a ritual it is the player's responsibility to give the staff advance notice. This is actually described in the rulebook. Things like making items, casting regenerations, investitures and the like are almost always planned and well thought-out for months (if not longer) in gathering scrolls and components. For this sort of thing you should be notifying NPC camp when you check in on Friday night. Sooner if possible. The staff will find a marshal for you and arrange a time. We tend to have only two or three ritual marshals on site at any one event, and unfortunately they all have additional responsibilities both in and out of game.
The staff will do our best to roll with rituals on the fly that are for plot reasons like whispering winds, visions, or other things that are reacting to the story because, well, they're generally not planned and often very time sensitive. And after all, this game is supposed to be about the story. Those stuff-making rituals canfall into this category too, if you have a plot reason for suddenly needing to do so, like finding out your arch nemesis is coming into town and you cast a CSS because you don't want to be obliterated, or you figured out that making a flame aura weapon is your best chance for defeating the BBG of the weekend. But more often than not, you know ahead of time you're going to make something, so help the staff help you by giving them a heads up.
Ritual marshals are volunteers and players who want to have a good time just like you. They give up their playing time to enhance ours. Please give them the courtesy of arranging things in advance whenever possible.
