at this point, I am trying to stick to the Portland/Vancouver area but if it comes up I will move up towards Seattle or 2-3 hours South.
Work may want me to just pack up & move to Phoenix and that is my last resort because I would never see my son.
Pros: I work from home, work will cover a dedicated phone line & DSL/Cable internet access. Also, rather find someone & help them our rent wise than pay a landlord $500-$600 per month with little upside to anyone. I would plan on being at OR Alliance events (but I own a motorcycle, so group rides would be reliant on others), the odd Seattle event as a PC, and spend 1-2 weekends/month up in the Beaverton area seeing family.
Cons: I work from home, have a 20lb whippet (gets along with other animals just fine, but he has become very attached with me being home all the time) but I can probably work something out with the in-laws (pay them to watch him or something).
