SAFETY: Fire Ban info for 2018 Nationals

Traceroo

Rogue
Teller County, Colorado (where our campsite is located) has a Stage 1 fire ban in effect right. This is the least significant set of restrictions for any fire ban.

What that means:

CAMPFIRES - okay - ONLY in permanent fire rings. MUST have fire extinguisher, or bucket of water nearby at all times. At Alliance, MUST have OUT-OF-GAME person tending the fire at ALL times that it's going. No participating in combat, no wandering away "just for a minute." If you are Fire Marshal, and have to step away, tag someone else into the ring. That person will be under Page rules for any combats that break out during that that time, near the fire.

GRILLING - okay in grills built into pavilions in various residential areas - MUST be 10' away from any combustible materials.

WOOD STOVES okay in your cabin. Bring your own lighter stick and kindling; camp supplies firewood.

FIRE EATING - okay - OUTDOORS ONLY. MUST have OUT-OF-GAME Fire Marshal standing by with fire extinguisher or bucket of water at all times. (There is a water source near the fae party and the fancy dress up party. BYO bucket, not sure what the campsite offers. Walmart has them for $3 right now.)

Thank you,
Trace Moriarty
