Saving Lives (You're Welcome)

Hey Everybody,

SO. While I was working on fixing and improving your Waystones (I'm going to make them be able to be used by anyone... Not just people who have formal magic. Then it's making them cost less because that's stupid... Then probably codes... We'll see... I've got lots to do!), I was thinking about ways to get rid of Kaz'ik. And yes, I know he can hear me... Hey buddy. Anyway, I thought of a pretty nifty idea!

So you see, there's this ritual in Dragonreach that's pretty similar, and I'm surprised I haven't thought about it before now to be honest. It's called "The Sentencing". Basically the short version of what it does is it sends whoever you cast it on to this Prison on the Plane of Vacuum that's basically impossible to break out of for so many different reasons, the most obvious one being that it's on THE PLANE OF VACUUM. OH! Another great thought I just had! Even if Kaz'ik somehow manages to break out of the Prison (a feat that's bloody near impossible even for dragons), he's now in Dragonreach! Which means he'd be our problem and not yours.

You know what's really great about it? It doesn't cost any lives OR Platinum. We can save countless people AND get a little extra money, or donate it to something or whatever. The other benefit is that he can't really break out of it like he did last time, which means that people 1000 years from now or whatever won't have to deal with him again, like me. So that's pretty nice, but you'll all be dead... So I guess you guys don't really care about that part. But still. NOBODY WOULD HAVE TO DIE.

Now it may be a bit difficult to get it in time before Kaz'ik takes over all of Terna, but it's still probably worth looking into in case the first ritual backlashes or something. That would be pretty lousy. The only other thing that I can think of right now is that we may have to convince Kaz'ik to hang out over in Dragonreach, but if there's one thing I'm good at, it's getting people places.

Anyway, I thought I'd share this revelation with everyone so that you can all think about it, discuss, or whatever you want to do with that information. Just figured it's better for everyone to have it instead of a few select people who are "deemed worthy".

I support this idea and I hope it will be seriously considered.

This was very well said Radi.

Greetings and Salutations,

I must admit to being the least of my fellows in the craft of magic and knowledge of the planes; so I may well be wrong. But last I checked no plane of vacuum even exists in mist sphere realm that I and the other Solar's call home. And the two things closest to an inescapable prison are the Eternal Prison or whatever you wish to dub it from which Kazzik himself escaped from and the Graveyard ofcourse as they are well the Graveyard. Also since ritual scrolls even those most common and stable across Fortannis do not travel realm to realm-save for Mist Touched that is- I am curious as to how you intend to bring forth such a singularly unique and rare scroll to this realm. Especially now that the mists have solidified with the most fortuity that I have witnessed in my 800 years upon Terna.

PS I wish you nothing but the best of luck with your waystone projects. The network has completely stabilized in recent days and Solar Nikolai Rudari Pendari has said you played an important part. So many thanks--let me know if I can be of aid.

Hello Solar Yolan,

Dah. You do not have the Plane of Vacuum here. Correct. It is not a part of the 29 Planes of Terna's "Mist Reality Matrix Bubble", and I'm kind of glad that you don't. It's a pretty terrible place.

My thought, as I stated earlier, was that we take Kaz'ik to Dragonreach as opposed to taking the scroll to Terna. Perhaps not an easy feat, but something I still think is valuable to look into. Surely such a creature wouldn't want to be held captive by just one land, when he could bring Bliss to everybody!

P.S. I appreciate that! I will certainly reach out to you if need be. Mostly I just need Nikolai and you all to stop trying to make Waystones. That's what's caused the most damage! *he laughs* However, if you ever need a stone built let me know!

Banradi,

I think this should be thoroughly considered as an option. If there is a way we can take kaz'ik down with people having to die. It is a possibility that should always be explored. My only worry is convincing him to go and how those in dragonreach would have to handle him. I hope those that are working to make the decision on this consider this as well. We need to start realising that there are options that don't result in death for anyone.

Kat,

This option has been considered.

Foss,

Quit being a _____ and let others make their own decisions for once.

Thank you for your thoughts Kat.

Radi,

Considered does not mean decided.

Foss,

Perhaps you're right, and if that's truly the case I appreciate it. However the use of "has been" versus "is being" makes a substantial difference.

If there is a solution that isn't our usual 'wait for the nobles and nobles-lite to formulate a plan and do all the talking while the rest of us die in wave battles with no organization or officers', I'm for it. And it doesn't even use blood magic based on feeding the lives of others into great workings!

You know. That thing. That you keep objecting to.

Like lycanthropy.

There are always alternatives, but many bridges have been burnt in the past. It may come down to accepting fate that has been handed down and embrace it.

Or not.
