Schedule Change

Due to circumstances beyond the SoMN's Staff control, the Castle event will be moved to our November event, All dates are still accurate/the same as before, the only difference is the the location of October/November have been swapped.

Well, That kinda stinks. I was looking forward to being in a castle on my birthday. :(

Thank you for being able to keep the dates the same that makes it not so difficult, and hey feast at a castle, all right!

I agree with Andrea. Feast at castle. Yay.

I don't recall saying anything about a feast, that event is scheduled at Fort Matta for the end of November...

They are just referencing the fact that the food at every event is like a feast, and that it will be even better at the castle :)

Oh well that's on Larp Mom, Alysha, and all the other Tavern helpers, I'm not really involved (except for the standard inclusion during the money portion :-p) If it's anything like the last castle event, you'll have to earn the chance to eat!

I have been getting kind of spoiled with having work days and one day events. Will have to pull out my planning skills again with the full weekend events coming up.

Then there is the additional spoiling of having a site to store things at. I will really have to get my act together to ensure that we have what we need for the Castle event.

Speaking of which, I have not put on a spread at the Castle before. :zonks:

Who worked the kitchen the last time there? I need input on what the kitchen comes equiped with there. i.e. cookware, serving dishes, plates, etc. Some one contact me, please.

Buhrke Did it last time, as I recall the kitchen was very well equipped

Actually Crystal did it last time. I did help some. I'm sorry I don't remember about serving dishes specifically but it seems to me that it was a well equipped kitchen. I don't think you have anything to worry about there.

Was it Crystal? Man see how out of it I am, now I feel awful :-(

That makes sense, considering Ryan was Dure'Dhel, and we all know what would happen if Dure'Dhel had to make our food :P

You sir did not go to the last Chicago event. Apparently Dure'dhel makes a pretty mean breakfast; and by mean I mean delicious.

Dave, you weren't totally off-base. I did help "consult" in the kitchen, but didn't do any actual cooking. There are plenty of hotel pans in the kitchen, not sure about actual pots/pans. I would recommend bringing your own knives. Dan actually helped at that event as well. From what I remember, there were two large industrial ranges and 2 large industrial ovens. There is a large industrial fridge and a freezer. There is also a microwave.

The kitchen has plenty of prep space and a nice setup to serve from that doesn't take away from the prep space.
