School of Rock

Truly, convincing anyone who didn't grow up in the '80s to actually play Journey is almost impossible!

80's teenager here. I always loved that song.

Preach it, oh brother of the elder larpers.

Now, if they really wanna impress me, bust out some '80s era Rush.

I've always had a theory about Rush. D00d comes out of the womb and sits his *** in front of a drum kit. There he sits and plays, day in, day out. One day a group of guys come along and hear him...

"Woah, D00d, you rock! Wanna join our band?"
To which the drummer says nothing and just continues to drum
"Umm, ok then, we got this gig on Friday, wanna come play it?"
To which the drummer says nothing but begins to nod his head with the beat
Friday rolls around and D00d is still where the guys left him, playing drums
"Alright D00d, ready to go?"
After a brief moment, the guys decide rather than disturbing D00d they get a flatbed and have him towed to the gig
And thus Rush was born.

I don't think even to this day Neil Peart knows that he is in a band.

Funny thing is I think the same thing about Jane's Addiction.
