Seattle 3day event report

I don't like to usually gush over events as it just sounds like a fanboi, however the Seattle 3 day event was quite a game. Between flights, rental car and other costs, it was between 3-4 hundred dollars for me to attend and it was money well spent. Despite the bitter cold (well for a San Franciscan that is), I had a blast running around and trying to help complete the quest of the 7 crypts. And my character has zero effect on the undead. :)

The plot and NPC people were incredible. I know that they do a good job instructing their NPC's in things because one that I thought was a veteran was actually someone who was LARPing for the first time. The NPC's also were given more than one way for us to get by them. One major undead decided to steal all of my stuff on the table instead of chasing me down and killing me and a group of umber hulks figured I was polite enough that they'd just take my cash instead of killing me and THEN taking my cash. I wish I could give you more specifics on the actual plots but my mind is still swimming in all of it. I may comment more at a later date...

The players meshed well and worked together like a team despite the fact that there were so many groups of players from different chapters. As a player, I was welcomed into the game while my character was mostly welcomed (I am romani afterall :) ). The RP was incredible and it was one of the top 5 NERO/Alliance games I've played in where OOG talk was at a minimum.

I will be attending again. I'll need to save up for a few months but I will be attending again.

I can safely say everyone from Chicago that made it had a good time too. :)

Yay :D Having you guys there was amazing! Roleplay flowed freely in the streets, little blue lights bobbed in the woods. It was neat! :)

Now I'm hoping to come visit you guys someday soon!

How many folks did you guys have for this event? Its looking like it may be very possible for me to make the March event and I'm excited to meet new people. :)

Chris' mods were awesome incarnate.

I loved the combination of puzzles, combat, and rp'ing.

It really felt more like a high fantasy game, rather than a "beat people with plumbing equipment for fake coin." It was the type of game which reminded me why I play this silly thing.

ps - and the ice elemental costume was just incredible. You really need to post some of the photos of that thing.

As far as I know, nobody took photos of the ice golem. Speaking of photos though, didn't someone from Chicago have some? We'd like to see them, maybe get them put up on the alliance pics site?

And about how many for the NPC's? That's always something that is really important to take into account too! :)
