Sedovia Arrival

(OOG Plot Note: There are two files attached to this posting, both are the same document but one is in black and white (bw suffix) and the other is in color. This document will be handed to you just before your arrival in Sedovia for your character to fill out for reasons that will be reasonably apparent during game. If you would, please download, print, and fill out the form and bring it with you to game to help save you some time; we will have copies at-game at the Logistics desk. All characters will be in-game required to fill one of these out. You may, of course, choose not to, but you risk in-game issues with the local government. Your character may have opportunity to acquire false papers should they be so inclined, but they will have to look carefully.

Also note: If your character does not have Read and Write, you may presume there is a sailor around to ask you the questions and fill out the document for you.

As always, if you have questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email us at plot@allianceoregon.com or create a new thread in the OOG boards. Thanks!

(Update 1: We are aware of the typo and are working on getting it fixed tonight.)
(Update 2: The typo has been fixed and the documents are once again available for download. Thanks for your patience.)
(Update 3: The gray background on the Black and White version of the form has been removed and should no longer eat your printer toner or ink. Sorry about that! -Plot)

~Plot)

After several months of being in Portos, blocked from traveling to Sedovia by unnatural storms, finally it is time to leave. Some brave adventurers had gone out to find a way to end the unnatural storms, and apparently succeeded. Dame Llane, the Greylighters, and the Jade Daggers leave on the SMS Sea-Lord a day before you do, as she is eager to return to the capital, New Pascal.

As you board one of the ships tasked with delivering you to Sedovia, you learn that your travels will be taking you to a town in the southern part of Sedovia, and not the capital. It seems that the ruling government of Sedovia has set up an area within the town of Foxbridge for you and your fellow adventurers. Regardless of where you will end up, you are simply happy to finally be getting out of Portos. You are provided with a form, and it is explained that this is a census and customs declaration form, something that Sedovia has put into place for new arrivals within their borders. You are told that when you arrive you will need to provide that form as you enter Foxbridge. You will also be given visitor papers, and the Kingdom of Sedovia is waiving the normal fee for such due to the treaty with the United Kingdoms of Landfall.

The days and nights at sea are relaxed, and the trip is easy going. The sailors aboard the ships are happy and easy-going, glad to be back at sea. Travel is swift, and you are informed that while it was expected that you would arrive in Foxbridge on the 27th, it appears you will be arriving earlier.

Upon reaching the shores of Sedovia, the ships drift south and then west into a large river which the sailors call the River Lyne, a massive river running along the South end of the country's border. Easily a mile across for its entire length, and wider than that for some of its length, you notice that there is very little impeding your progress up-river. When you ask one of the sailors, he tells you that the River Lyne has some very unique properties. The River Lyne has two currents, one flowing East to West, the other flowing West to East – colloquially known as “Lynes” – a convenience for traveling up and down the river, but they make crossing particularly dangerous. The sailor helpfully adds that there are only two crossing points, with specially crafted ships able to make the journey in only four hours. After sailing up the river for two and a half days, on the evening of the 26th the ships turn north into an estuary, after a few hours they arrive at the docks of Foxbridge. You have finally arrived!
