September 2011 event favorites

Hey folks what were your favorite event moments at the event?

My favs:
-Getting obliterated by the Wraith King and getting to do some epic anger RP.
-Playing with the PCs as Oberon and Ezekial.
-Jordan getting to waylay Rollo.
-The near TPK on the ice elemental mod.
-Money bags and Kyle's gypsies. Way to fill treasure policy Kyle.
-All the RP as the chief. Nods to Farseer, Kiarra, Daylen, Elryion, Leanore and Poxy. On that note welcoming Kiarra to the tribe.
-"Why that human have wings?" (jaws drop)
-The bumpkin king, I reckon.

More to come when I can think clearer. :D

-Witnessing the Kobold Ninja Waylay Rollo in the shadow the a Cabin. Well okay, I never even actualy saw the Kobold even though I was looking right at Rollo. Rollo even payed him afterwords.

-The conversation between a few people who shall not be named on the tavern steps that created a near solid wall of innuendo for at least half an hour. Causing those with delicate sensibilities to flee in mock terror.

-Our valiant ride to rescue the lost flame weapons Sunday afternoon. Okay so maybe we over did the whole horse bit a little.. it could only have gotten worse if we had coconuts ala Monty python.

-"No that's not the Wraith King, don't be stupid."

-The awesome NPC's that made my first Rezz ever a super fun experience that I wouldn't change at all.
 
-going through half the weekend with 'Hey Snows, you want to help out?' and drawing complete blanks on names (sigh)...sorry but I should know Killian, Prashka, Poxie, Shen, and probably about 12-13 others without even thinking about it. I just find it hilarious for some odd reason.

-Gavin saying, 'Just call me Bob' on Saturday afternoon after so many mispronunciations and then being shocked that almost everyone knew Khaberakhh come Sunday morning.

-Barb sponsoring Gavin, Bryan taking the time to test him Saturday night (you guys are great).

-Elemental Portal Assault: The Banzai Charge -ok, it really wasnt' but it sounds cool. Solid battle, but with insufficient firepower we could only pull them out to one side & have Team Gypsy crash the gate.

-Elemental Portal Assault: The Mop Up - the Elementals having a discussion on what to do now that all the players are either dead or fleeing. 'Monster stabilize', 'Sorry, we killing blew him', 'Monster stabilize', 'Sorry, we killing blew her', 'Monster stabilize', 'He's dead'...'Um, I got Lifes, yeah...that's the ticket'. I could hear those gears going, 'Crap, we can't kill 2/3 of the players in one battle here, we need them to double hook.'

-Double Hooks, aka The Rising Dead - the players look when a dozen undead are just beating against the wall of the circle and they just start treading through the woods. From there on, it was just an epic fighting retreat.

-Empowered Pinata of Power - the shopping list was a pain, the Ritual was great, and the Players made the Ritual that much more memorable.

Hmm lets see

Polair loosing his baron title... And then him lieing to xavic on how he got his golem taken from him lmao
Hitting on Polair and telling him its 1s an hour for me to tie him up and use wax... and then the look on his face of the fact that he has to pay...
RPing selling the blight cure to Ezra and being freaked out the fact that she might gas me down when i meet her... golem recruiting ftw. also no one rembering that Ezra was a she and telling me no its a guy i met him...lmao

Being able to make a potion that can destroy portals! merchant ftw

Freaking out over Kobal assassins attacking me. And getting pissed at people for not believing me Knowing a lord and a pissed off gypsy ftw!

Seeing an item that the Wraith king killed me and took. And was able to tell the person that wanted it identified Exact details of what it did and flaws on it... And the look on there face of OH SNAP! and just knowing that there thinking "aww man now im going too have too give it up" lmao!

Getting to use an item i got from some random explosion that helped in the end to destroy the Crown of the wraith king! horray for pay back! Also seeing the poor guy who touched the crown get zaped hard by it and thinking "Glad i didnt touch it. Damn i hate it when slice polair and dailn are right".

Getting too duble hook and do mele combat for the first time in almost 3 years. And (almost)killing the highbies with a crunchy!!

Hmm gambling with a Gypsy and him mowing me over for all my coin i had with me.... damn my bad poker faces. lol

Being able to slowly walk thru the battle with the wraith king and get within 5 to 10 feet of him and never getting attacked or hit with a stray spell for that whole fight.

Making the Explorers wright me a new contract that befitted me more then them. >:)

Getting my chars hand read that i would be making lots of gold.. just after someone else was told there love life would suck...

Feeling like a Bouncer when we were getting the crown identifyed.. telling 4 people nope cant come in then picking Shay whos jumping to try and be seen in over there sholders. And having slice pull out i saved your life card just to keep someone around.
 
Just a few off the top of my head:
  • Sneaking behind enemy lines to rescue the alchemist/potion-maker's treasure chest. Between doing my best to look like a stump and sneaking off thirty feet and slipping out of my stark white shirt while still hiding, on of the most fun and intense rogue moments I've had in years. Thanks and gratitude to Chaz for playing his troll's mentality in a fun-inducing way. Also, thanks to Jimmy for rolling with the punches as I got much further through than he anticipated.
  • Pimping along on the high-level mod rated at around five times my level.
  • Thinking "Wow, that's a good spot to remain hidden, I should go stand there.", then getting 9 Waylaid. Stood there for a moment going "Magic Arm... no. Dod... no. Arcane Armor prot... nope. Damn. Got it."
  • Sneaking behind enemy lines to rescue Lenore's sword and Yames' bow. Chloe: "Um, sorry, we're on a mod right here." Me: "Yeah, I know, I'm on that mod." YOINK!
  • Watching Carmen's Sunday kobold wander off with the townsfolk guy, then appear five minutes later wearing his hat. And later, bringing her along for the treasure trove mod.
 
Honestly the whole event was one reeeeaaallly long blur for me. :P

However, I absolutely loved the end of Sunday where the King handed out rewards to everyone. It was fun to see everyone show their differences in etiquette training.

Also. Amy was a badass at holding that treasure chest up for so long while Matt was handing out the treasure!
 
I had an absolutely amazing weekend with everyone! I mean really and truly one of my favorite events in a very long time.

- Story time with Slice.
- Awesome plans that involve three simple steps.
- Horrible, sanity destroying stories about Polare's Wood. And subsequently almost choking and dying.
- Necromancer **** Punch Part 1 and 2. Awesome mods. Fun. Hilarious. Polare's fault.
- Great RP. Epic angry-face. Brooding in your darkness much? There was, however, good bonding.
- Shennanagins with Vanyel. You are metal dude.
- More Shennanagins with Rokk and Vanyel in the forest. Gurilla war fare at its finest.
- The near-catastrophic failure epic Shalduk mod. Its been a really long time since I was worried about getting home, and that mod definitely put us to the test.... Stupid vampire Griffons...
- Finally meeting Autumn was great, and getting to hang with Kiarra and Daylan and Lochland was amazing. <3 You guys!
- Mint Chip Ice Cream and Snapping Twigs.
- Operation "Get Her"
- More Mint Ice Cream + Slice + Story Time = YES!
- Shay and head pettings. I owe you one.. err several. You are money!
- Elryion and all his stories. Its always awesome to hang with you.
- Story Time with Rolo! Bacon plays a major theme in his life, apparently. Most Ninja rogue ever. Its good to know that all the crazy bed time stories I've heard are true.
- Arkelos and his inner Bandit creating the very first Kobalds Crime Syndicate. Damn Ninja Kobalds.
-Finally smoking the Wraith King once and for good "No.. that can't be him. Oh wait.. we're in deep **** trouble..."
- Nate and his Epic Undead Joker. "Kommen sei Get some!"
- And of course, last but never least, The Pinyata of Power!
- "Only Usable by Elves"

**I totally forgot:
- "Destroy Celestial Magic!" - "Got it! Im free!!" *Vanishes into the woods*

Thanks again to Gabe, who killed endless amounts of dishes. And to all the NPCs making it an awesome event!
Can't wait for more!

So much good stuff this last weekend. Off the top of my head here it goes

-Operation "Meet the Earth Guild", or "Gypsy portal dash", or my personal favorite "Glacier to the Face"
-Character Portraits
-Double hooking, and getting a chance to see the other side
-My super awesome Gypsy cousins!
-The Kobold with Bad manners
-The Kobold with Good manners
-Professional Milling actually working
-The Child Murderers mod (probably not what you are thinking)
-Operation N.C.P.1+2
-Getting to laugh about getting "jumped" by the two undead on the way back to the Troll mod.
-New goal, learn to read so I can become a Delicious Golem so I can break through walls (oh yeah)
-Most importantly though, was the general feeling of being involved. This was on the part of both the players and the NPC's and I appreciate it.
