"Due to several towns becoming islands, including helicopter evacuations, and the disappearance and total destruction of several highways, and a damn breach, it brings me pain to say that our opening wknd is postponed. Now... Since Malcon is in two weeks and next week is too soon for folks to give proper notice, if sky high or meadow mtn is available the first weekend of October, would u hus be up for 2 events in October???"

There will be a player-sponsored Consolation Party, Sat night at Moriarty Manor in Westminster. Message Trace or check the Facebook group for the address, or maybe Trace will feel okay posting it here; I didn't want to post their address without explicit permission. "POT LUCK, PLEASE! NO ALCOHOL, this is a DRY PARTY! Doors open @ 5:00 for make-up, costuming, setup. We go in-character at 6:00. IG location: Watson's Ferry, Rivervale, where rising waters and torrential rains have brought many stranded travelers who couldn't get to the ducal fiefs as planned. Please come in costume, get in make-up, and let's get acquainted in-character anyhow!"

P.S. Just got off the phone with Jesse. There will be some NPCs available for conversation, and limited game support for this gathering. This is still considered player-sponsored, so no fee, no XP. There may be limited treasure, story support, and NPCs, however. Bring your weapon phys reps and packets for voluntary sparring in the backyard. (Not necessary, but feel free.)

Couple Big Items/Asks:
1. I would LOVE to have 2 events in October to make up for this missed one.

2. THANK YOU for having the consolation party and thank you Ian and Trace for hosting!

Good points on this for everyone else out of character
If nothing else, this seems like a good way to get your first shots at weapons inspected and approved before a full on event, or
commented on to improve them. I had help with my first, but I imagine there will be a flaw somewhere that I can correct upon.
If I'm reading this right, we're on the road heading towards the game site with this party? That works perfectly for the back story
our band is working with. I hope to be able to get there in time. Do we want to do some form of Sign Ups for food items? Probably
won't be good to have 30 bags of chips with 20 jars of salsa :-p

I'd like to bring some beverages in bulk if you all do not mind. In character twold be a Cask of my grandmother's preferred "wine".
Twill be a mix of non-alcoholic fruit juices I like a lot and grew up on :-p So put me down for a beverage on any sign up sheet.

If you plan to attend, and have not yet contacted me by some means, could you kindly drop me a note? We'd like to get an accurate headcount for the evening.

(Note: I know 7 from Clan IronBeard, and maybe as many as 4 of Klang's group are coming, though I don't know names. No need if you're in one of those groups.)
