I don't know if this has been answered before, but I was wondering, would it be legal to make an open cell foam spike to attach to the outer face of a shield for aesthetic purposes?
 
If the narrowest part is 2" (like a thrustie) then yes. That doesn't really make for a very good 'spike,' but there are no sharp objects in the Alliance.
 
Makes sense. I thought there might be some sort of little restriction on it like that. It won't look as good but it is what it is.
