The inhabitants of Ironwood don't seem to be too happy about how we came in, stirred things up, and then abruptly left to let them deal with the turmoil we created.

Walking around surveying the damage, here is what I saw [as explained by plot]: There is damage to the tavern from the fire, as well as the two a-frame buildings behind it (completely burned down) and one of the rented cabins. The roof of the Magistratum looks as though the roof were blown off from within. There are funeral pyres where people are burying the dead from the battle with Sade as well as Barbarians burying their dead, and Sade's people burying theirs. There is a sense of urgency and fear about the town as well, as people gather what they have and move it into Sade's keep. People speak of Barbarians returning to raid in the absence of the safety Sade provided, some of them shoot you dark looks as they take their families from the town. Others are exuberant and celebrating the return of loved ones from captivity, and still others are determinedly fortifying the Inn. All in all, it looks like a town readying for a protracted siege.

If anyone has anything further to add, I'd like to hear it.

it.
Ah... this is why people leading revolts should really understand that while warlords may seem harsh- they better have an actual plan in place for doing a better job than the warlord. I saw Sade's territory moving through it on foot for a few weeks prior to so many of the wandering adventurers coming to town and inciting a revolt. It is a harsh, mean land. It has few resources and what it does have must be fought for and protected. Sade knew this. While he ruled with an iron hand and perhaps even a harsh one, his methodology was probably saving more lives than destroying his keep and leaving the town to the hoards.

There are many deaths on the hands of the revolt. More importantly, I stayed behind with the healer's guild to help build some of those funeral pyres. I also went out to aid the barbarians in funeral preparation because they too suffered greatly at the hands of a few wandering visitors. I saw relatively few if any individuals stay behind and help take care of the mess that they so willingly created. They were more interested in finding wealth, finding obscure information, and scurrying about for a few pieces of gold rather than actually caring for the people I was helping to bury over the past weeks.

I don't know what lands many of you come from. I don't know what respect you have for life. But I've heard rumors spoken of my dealings with killing and murder, and I've listened in the shadows to many of you talk about who I am and how untrustworthy you think I am. I laugh at the ignorance you all have about me, I'm a healer and protector that saved several of you throughout your ordeal. I've done little wrong to any of you. The few I have done any wrong to were at the request of romani law. And I will tell you something, I had the decency to stay behind and mend some of the broken homes you left behind. I actually had the respect to bury some of the bodies you left behind. If I am the untrustworthy monster of the night many of you claim me to be, what then are all of you?

Seeing the aftermath of the town and the lack of forethought put into leading the siege to begin with, merely strengthened my belief that so many gaje have little respect for anyone but themselves.

Next time I suggest you lead with a little more foresight and leave with a lot more humanity.

I have to agree.

Having stayed behind to tie up some loose ends, I got the opportunity to witness some of the aftermath of the revolt.

For one thing, the region is swarming with slave traders thicker than ever, taking advantage of the chaos we stirred up. I should know, I was one of those captured. The only safe place is within the castle walls; anyone not staying there is likely prey. It's a defacto seige!

Thanks to the gypsies traveling the wastes, I was rescued en route to who knows where.
