Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012+2013

Duke
As we continue to try to find the right balance between keeping the game as low cost as possible, and providing a safe, immersive, experience we've decided that the following updates to our price structure will go into effect start January of 2012.

Our prices have stayed the same for the past 3 years, during that time our camp costs, food costs, and rep costs have all gone up, partly due to our desire to provide the best experience possible. Ultimately we hope these updated price lists will help us continue as we move onto our fourth, while causing a minimal amount of disruption to our player base.

Price Structure 2012.

Weekend Events Friday-Sunday

PC - At the door price - $60
PC - Preregistration Price - $50
NPC - At the door price - $10
NPC - Preregistration Price - $5

One Day Events

PC - At the door price - $25
PC - Preregistration Price - $20
NPC - At the door price - $5
NPC - Preregistration price- Free

NPC Work Option - Requires attendance for majority of the event, see staff about available special jobs for the weekend, some examples are Helping in the kitchen, helping with specific cleaning chores etc. Basically if $5 is going to be a problem, chip in a bit extra around camp and we'll handle it for you!

While we never like to raise prices, we have done our best to increase prices by as little as possible but still maintain our standards of quality. Our expectation is that this new pricing structure should allow us to keep our prices constant for many years to come.

Re: Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012

I will appreciate any help with pricing. I live in Omaha, NE and it costs about $120 in gas round trip (6.5 hours) to come to an event but I am really excited about coming.

How much does it cost to be a page? I have a friend who doesn't want to do combat but really wants to give this a try.

The price for paging is the same, however As long as we know she is coming our staff will make sure to have page appropriate activities ^.^

Re: Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012

But she'll only be there a day. :P

Re: Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012

Hi,

I think then she would have the option of paying the full event fee and getting both day's worth of xp or just paying for the 1 day. Check that with your friendly local staffer but I think I remember that being the policy.

Re: Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012

Yeah, she's only going one day and she honestly doesn't care about xp she just wants to follow me around before she decides to NPC.

Re: Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012

Hi! I am said page wannabe XD I just want to come follow Haley around for a day, I don't need xp or anything, just to see whats up and hopefully NPC in the future. I'd like to register for the upcoming event this weekend but I don't know how much to pay. Soo how much will it cost?

Re: Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012

LARPing isn't really a spectator sport. If only there for a day, play as an NPC and we can find roles to keep you in town (non-combat) most of the time to actively observe and still participate. Having someone around out-of-game just watching can be a huge distraction for those playing, so it's not something we encourage. The fee would be NPC rate.

Re: Southern Minnesota Event Prices for 2012

I could encourage you to participate as well, if you are uncomfortable with the system after the quick on site intro, you can play a page healer so you won't get hit, but can still help people out by healing etc. ^.^

New Players who Pc Pay $25 for the weekend, or $0 if they want to NPC.

If you are under 18, please make sure to get a copy of the insurance forms and bring them with!
