Spell Store Aspect

Note that the spells stored in the item must be of the same aspect as the Spell Store itself. Thus you cannot store Earth Battle Magic spells in a Celestial Spell Store item or vice versa.

Some spells are Earth and Celestial. If cast from memory, there's nothing in the call to indicate aspect compatibility to the recipient. Does it matter what school the spell slot was if the spell exists in both schools? Do the caster and the recipient need to briefly check OOG that their aspects did, in fact, line up? If the spell being stored is coming out of a scroll or potion, does that make any difference?

1) The aspect of the spell is determined by the spell slot used to memorize it. If you used an Earth Level 1 to memorize a Disarm, it is an Earth aspect Disarm.

2) The caster and the recipient should be confirming that the spell store is of the appropriate Aspect, though this doesn't need to be OOG unless the recipient legitimately didn't know what their magic item was.

3) Scrolls are always Celestial aspect, Potions are always Earth aspect.

4) Yes; though that confirmation shouldn't necessarily be OOG. I advise players looking to fill a spell store to recommend using "Earth Spell Store" or "Celestial Spell Store" in their request, and should confirm that the caster is using the appropriate aspect spells.
