Stumbled upon a weird wording on a scroll and figured I'd ask something.
For reference, the text of the Spirit Refuge ritual reads as follows:
"The Spirit Refuge Ritual enchants a Target Location within the Circle of Power, allowing all willing Target Spirits also within the Circle to be tied spiritually to that Location. If any Target Spirits resurrect, those players have the choice to reform their body on a 3 count in the Target Location (as per the Regenerate Ritual) after their Spirit draws from the Bag of Chance."
At first, it seems pretty straightforward: you dissipate, you get to regenerate at the circle where you cast it, all's cool. However, the wording on the scroll seems to delineate between the Target Location and the Circle the ritual was cast in with the verbiage "enchants a Target Location within the Circle of Power" rather than just saying "enchants a Circle of Power". Whether or not the ritual targets the ground where it is cast or the circle it is cast within has a few different ramifications. To that end:
Question 1: In the event that a Circle of Power no longer exists in the place where this ritual was cast, can a person still reform at the Target Location?
Elaboration via Example: A character casts a Battle Magic Circle of Power, casts a Spirit Refuge there, then drops the circle and leaves. They later die on the field and dissipate to resurrect. After pulling from the bag if necessary, can that character reform on a 3-count at the location where they cast the Spirit Refuge, even though the Circle of Power is no longer there?
Question 2: In the event that the Circle of Power where this ritual was cast still exists but has moved thanks to the effects of a Portable Circle of Power ritual, is the "Target Location within the Circle of Power" where Spirit Refuged folks can reform considered to be wherever the Portable Circle currently is, or is it the original location where the ritual was cast?
Elaboration via Example: A character casts a Spirit Refuge in their Portable Circle of Power. The next event, they move the Portable Circle of Power to a new location. They later die on the field and dissipate to resurrect. After pulling from the bag if necessary, does that character have the ability to reform on a 3-count within the Portable Circle of Power at its new location, or do they have the ability to reform on a 3-count at the original location where the ritual was cast?
Thanks!
