Stupid Internet Explorer question

Right click on one of the dotted bars on the left side. select address bar. that worked for me.

Yeah, tried that. I've tried all the obvious things (I think)... I clicked it, unclicked it, clicked it again, closed the window, opened the window...

Damn Bill Gates.
 
Restart? Often fixes simple stuff too.
 
If you are using IE 7 I am not sure but it sounds like you removed your address bar.

In IE you should see View as a menu option. Somewere in there you should see address bar. It might be undertool bars.

In Firefox its under View Toolbars and then select navigation bar.
 
Its also possible that its there, but hiding. If it got grabed and drug to one of the other bars it can appear to "dissapear"
 
i once accidentally pulled my to the right hand side and it went vertical instead of horizontal!! that was weird
