Message left on taverns across the lands of Mer:

Elder Deeproot is asking for your assistance in ridding the Isle of Khar'Durai from the Malwoken who pose a continuing threat to all creatures. The Malwoken continue to attack the Dryads who call Khar'Durai home as well as any other creature they come across. It seems that their hatred of life has caused them to continue their attacks. It has become clear that they will not stop or return to their own lands.

I have been told that there is no hope of redemption for these poor, twisted creatures. It is my hope to learn if there is some way to turn them back to the side of life and light and will be exploring that possibility while our campaign progresses.

Any of the mist walkers who wish to participate in this endeavor should come to Deeproot’s Grove near Myerston. Additionally, I will be seeking the participation of the Council of Khar'Durai in this in hopes that each of the members can join us on ridding Khar'Durai of this menace.

Elder Deeproot

To the adventurers of Mournstead and Myerston,

It has come to our attention that you found a pocket of ancient desert people under the control of a mummy and a djinn. Some of the people trapped in that bottle were the ancient type of Wylderkin which have since gone extinct. We would like to send an envoy of Kotar Tribespeople, Terra the Verdant Dragon, and a representative from the Fosterage of Echosis Forest alongside some adventurers who may have been with them in the bottle.

We want to meet the Wylderkin and learn more about where they once lived, in hopes of discovering exactly what caused their extinction. We would also like to see if any of them would be willing to meet with the modern day Wylderkin of Echosis Forest, and aid in helping teach them about the Wylderkin cultures which came before.

If you are interested in joining this envoy, please send a missive to Mr. Grumbles, care of the Fosterage in Echosis Forest.

Adventures of Mer,

It is well known that the Terra Stones protect the land of Unmei from the undead. Since the end of the war with Levomire, we have endeavored to reclaim any area of land where one of these stones is located and set up an establishment and official guard under the banner of the Council of Khar-Durai. Through the joint efforts of the High-Ogres of Besut, the Cinderfel military, and the Kotar, we are proud to state that we have successfully achieved the majority of this objective. Discounting the stones which reside under the sea, we now have guardianship over all but one stone.

Of course, we saved the most difficult for last. The final stone is the stone of Silent Bastion, which is located in the north of Halja. For those less geographically inclined, Halja is not part of Unmei but is the island continent adjoining Unmei on its southern point, east of the Domari Plains. As many of you may already be aware, Halja is the home of the Cauldred, and is also considered the domain of the Ooze Dragon, Levomire. We are actively making plans to retake Silent Bastion, but this is no mere feat, as simply getting in is not an issue. The fact of the matter is that the difficulty lies in establishing a protected area and maintaining ownership of the land.

Sir Theodin Stanhelm-Hammerfist has agreed to lead this effort. He has the backing of both the Cinderfel military and the Kotar tribe. Both our military and the Kotar are veterans of establishing and protecting dangerous territories; however, we are looking for additional volunteers from the adventuring community to aid in this cause. This will be a very dangerous and ongoing operation that will take many months, if not longer. If you are able and willing to join this cause please send me a missive.

In your service,

Lord Ambassador Justicar Othur Gem Rockhearth IV, on behalf of King Agrim Bonemelder of the Kingdom of Cinderfel and the Council of Khar-Durai
