I dunno, it's already looking better than X3.....

All about the Battle of Hogwarts. I hope it rivals the final battle in The Return of the King in epicness. Yes, that's a word. :P

i've stopped putting much hope in the comic book / action movie genre.... its just consistently a bunch of mish mosh shaky camera and stills over edited over with superfluous special effects, which personify the attitude of "why take time to shoot something right the first time when you can fix it in post production".... it makes me sad.

but thats just my opinion... i am happy that there are people that enjoy them... and i am pleasantly surprised every so often. Thor was tolerably decent..

I think I'll save my $20. The idea of a movie theater lost it's appeal when it became cheaper to buy a case of beer. Not to mention all of these movies will be on DVD by Fall

It all about picking the right times and/or venues. When I lived in SoCal, there was a Harkins theater that sold t-shirts that gave you free popcorn for the whole year and a plastic cup that let you get $1 refills all year long. Those two factors made movie going during matinee times a regular weekly event.

I miss the $1 theaters that were around when I grew up. I saw all the best movies at this little dive, but at $5 for a week of movies (then playing baseball with friends at the fields only 100 yards away) summers were Awesome!
The local theater here has some kid-friendly summer packages that brings a kids movie ticket down to $2.50 or something, which is pretty darn good.

and wolverine origins...

do not get me started on origins.
that movie was dead to me when i heard this
stryker: "were putting it into the pool."
wolverine: "pool?"
styker: "yes, the deadpool."

i cried out loud enough for the next 3 rows to hear me. "You bas***ds!!"
and the abomonation i saw fighting wolverine just made me want to cry.

I guarantee the next time they have Deadpool in a movie they're just going to have him outright declare that Wolverine Origins was non-canon and then give us a proper Deadpool performance.

So I heard a rumor that when beginning work on developing the new X-men movie, the creators had Ryan Reynolds (star of Green Lantern) in mind to possibly reprise his role as the sword wielding mutant Deadpool from Wolverine Origins. However, they kept on putting it off and so on until the DC guys nabbed him for Green Lantern.

Ryan Reynolds has fast become my #2 favorite "B" actor (even if he's actually more of an A-list) - right behind Bruce Campbell.

What they are doing to the Marvel lines just reminds me that Hollywood sucks...I remember this interview when one of the initial producers was originally looking at doing Superman reboot & they wanted Superman to fight a polar bear, an over sized black widow, and some other crap because 'they were the most dangerous things on Earth.'

That pile of cat sick that they called a movie made me want to weep in a corner.
Eric Lanscher happens to be basically my favorite comic book character of all time, so if they screw up First Class, I will have to hunt some studio executives down.
Just my 2 cents.
