Tavern requests! Coins, drinks, etc

Help make the tavern a cool place!

We can use donations of "wine" and "champagne" and other such drinks, especially if you can make labels for the bottles. I will pay game money for bottles of grape juice and so on that look appropriate.

Snacks that we can put out for free like popcorn or pretzels or chips are always appreciated as well but those things are compensated with goblin stamps.

I haven't been up to the site in a while due to my operation so there may be supplies we will need, so if you have the time after you arrive please see me.


ALSO: Please help recycle coins. I'll give you gold for silver and copper. PLEASE DO NOT TAPE THE COINS TOGETHER. 50 coins fits into a baggie easily! This is an OOG transaction so don't worry, you're not really going to a hobling to get your coins exchanged.
 
One thing i would be very happy to see in the Tavern would be a scale that had the counter weights for 10 silver/copper and 10 gold. I was watching deadwood and they had something like that in there tavern they used to test gold. Then there would be no need to tape coins. :)

I know thats kinda low on the list of "needed" things but it would be fun.

Out of curiosity what is so bad about taping coins? I mean would it be better if they were "tied"? Its really just another method of organization...
 
I believe most of the tape issues come from the residue they leave behind on the coins... plus... it's not really in period.
 
Having to untape them is a PITA, and yes tape leaves gooey residue. You aren't saving the staff any work by taping them together, so please don't do it. Ziploc baggies work just fine, as Mike said.
 
I can bring some stuff for the August lowbie event but I'd like to work out in advance how much the tavern will be buying. It would certainly be cooler to negotiate in game but I don't want to bring 20 bottles of sparkling water and then find that you only want 2 and that they're only worth a copper each. I know it makes sense in game for the seller to be frustrated but it's also cool for me not to waste money on drinks and time on labels...

I suppose I can do this via plot submission (IG letter to the tavern keeper) if that's the best way to do it in game but before the actual event.

But it would certainly be easier if the tavern keeper just posted in game - looking for drinks willing to pay x for that drink, y for that drink, etc. And of course mention that the tavern is only interested in quality drinks with quality labels.
 
I won't be at the August event, but in general, I negotiate based on what I can sell them for. For instance, a bottle of "wine" can be sold IG for a gold piece, so my tavern guy will pay 5 silver or so for a good bottle. (A "good bottle" would be one where you have made labels for it and everything.) If all you are doing is bringing me a plastic container of grape juice, I consider than an OOG donation and will pay with goblin stamps.
